Happy 50th Birthday to one of the greatest live albums ever - KISS Alive! Without this album it's very unlikely we would have had so many years of KISS.
I was late to the KISS party and would've bought this one from Reddington's Rare Records in Birmingham in the 90's.

On this day in 2012, KISS played a sell-out show at the HMV Forum, London. Were you there?
Originally planned to make up for the cancellation of Sonisphere, the show was in aid of Help For Heroes. Bryn Parry, the CEO and co-founder of Help For Heroes gave me the following statement prior to the show:
"We are absolutely delighted to have the support from KISS and are certain the concert will be a huge success! KISS’s support of the Wounded Warriors in the US to date has been incredible and beginning their UK support on Independence Day couldn’t be more timely! The money raised will be used to provide direct, practical support to those wounded in the service of our country. We may not be able to prevent them from being hurt but we can certainly do our bit to help them get better."
I was lucky enough to go to the after show party at the Playboy Club and got to have a nice chat to Tommy, Eric & Doc who were all in great spirits after the show. There was also a copy of the Monster book on display and some sample covers from around the world.
The setlist was as follows:
Detroit Rock City
Hell or Hallelujah
Deuce
Shout It Out Loud
Makin' Love
I Love It Loud
Shock Me / Eric & Tommy solos
Calling Dr. Love
100,000 Years
Love Gun
Black Diamond
Encore:
Crazy Crazy Nights
Lick It Up
Rock and Roll All Nite

On this day back in 2012 I attended the press conference for the KISS Monster Book launch held in the Arts Club in London. It was an opportunity for the band to show off largest rock book ever made, so big it had to be bound by hand! The whole band were there answering questions for the press and showing off the new book. This was a day before the Help For Heroes show at the HMV Forum in London.
Did you know anyone who bought a copy?
