Karlito] The Alice Cooper - Brutally Live DVD is out now featuring Eric Singer, and quite good it is, too. It is a recording of a concert many of us may be familiar with - it was recorded at the Hammersmith Appollo last July. I am quite pleased at the amount of coverage Eric gets on the DVD. I am also quite proud of myself as my voice can be clearly heard telling the guy who shouts 'F*CK OFF KISS' at the end of Eric's solo to kindly sit down, in the nicest possible manner, of course. |
| The Farewell
Views section has been updated at last, apologies to everyone
that submitted their view ages ago. I've been busy creating a
new way of getting KISS headlines to your desktop which is why
it's been a little quiet around here for a while - look out for
the release in a week or two. |

Jez, Legal Racket]Thought I would send you an email of our Kiss night we have just done in Bahrain in the Middle East. We are a covers band from Scarborough UK named "Legal Racket", playing a bar called Diggers 6 nights a week until May. Anyway we thought it would be a cool idea to do a Kiss tribute night. Here are a few pics for you. Picture 1 (Ace) Picture 2 (Paul) Picture 3 (Group) Picture 4 (Gene) |
[From:
Paul Newcomb]Richie is still working on the new album and it looks like May now for UK release. Ace and the legendary Leslie west look set to guest on the same track if all goes well. They get on really well together and always have a great laugh. Ace was up at Richies last week, he lives at Mill Brook studios. Richie has today left for about 10 dates with Leslie and then in March they
are off to Canada with Lynyrd Skynyrd for 3 weeks. Richie expects to be in UK in the
summer firstlty with Mountain and may stay over to do some solo dates. |

SJ Pawlin] Q. When is the only time U can watch the Granada Men & Motors Channel? A. When y'missus goes out with her mates. Such an event happened last Friday. So there I was watching some trash on Men & Motors - some 'glamour girl' (loose term) talking about how she got in2 the glamour industry - anyway, this bird was talking about how Men & Motors had put 2gether a girl band called 'Rock Fillies' and she was in it. 'How very naff' I thought 2 myself. So, that Manchester bloke who used 2 be on 'The Word' (can't remember the guy's name) was asking 'Rock Fillies' some questions when he comes out with 'Your 1st song is a KISS song isn't it?' At which point I spit out my beer and scrabble around 4 a tape (I wasn't taping it already, honest...) just as he says "Is it 'I Was Made 4 Lovin' U'?". Well, anyway, cue one interesting club-style version of IWMFLY with 4 female singers. BIZARRE! Actually, it was quite reminiscent of the version recorded by unknown Aussie act 'Mr Saturday' a few years ago.... And as an even less tenable link 2 KISS try watching 'High Fidelity' with Jack Cusack (out now on video!) and listen out 4 the wonderfully gorgeously Welsh Catherine Zeta-Jones talking about "Gene Simmons of KISS" in the background when she 1st appears on screen... Toodle-oo. SJ. |

| We may have been snubbed
by KISS themselves, but the UK has produced some great KISS
tributes - and now there's one more! Psycho Circus come
from Peterborough in East Anglia and are just starting to get a
set list put together, they always open with Psycho Circus and
mainly play the classic stuff. The band consists of Kevin Curtis
(Paul), Chris Maltby (Ace), Aaron B.Z (Peter) and Mike Thompson
(Gene), expect some pictures and tour dates soon! |
Here
courtesy of KISS Online is Eric Singer ready for his old-new
job. It's kind of weird seeing this, I would have much preferred
Eric to be his own character, but there ya go. So far this picture
has impressed a lot of fans... and upset a lot too. Good luck
Eric! |

| KISS Fan Shop have some
interesting news about Eric Singer, it seems he is contracted
for Australia, Japan and perhaps some further shows, he will not
be wearing Peter's make-up and finally KISS are apparently in
talks with a German promoter. KISS Fan Shop can be reached here. |
| BBC Online have an
article about Peter leaving KISS as one of their main
entertainment headlines today. They still need to read their
KISStory though - "the band even split entirely at one point" and "Gene Simmons, Lead Guitarist"!!?? You can read the full article by clicking here. |
