Re: Why wasnt KISS cool after 79?

Surely KISS have never been 'cool'. Even in their 77-78 heyday you were likely to get the p**s ripped out of you for being a fan. The very fact that they have never been cool is what being a KISS fan is all about for me, standing up for what you believe in, not caring what everyone else thinks, etc,...

Re: Who's playing the chords exacty?

The guitar riff Paul plays in Deuce is actually made up of 2 note chords or 'double stoppers' It's a very simple one and he is just playing it by hammering on and pulling off (fnarr fnarr) the strings with his left hand. People forget he is a superb rhythm guitar player as well as front man, no off ...

Re: KISS do Macca!

Cant stand Paul McCartney :D Hear Hear Yeah who cares if he's the most successful songwriter in the history of popular music and without him KISS would never have happened, he's still naff right kids! Imagine the sort of person who actually likes Macca, they' probably look like this!! http:...

Re: "Smoke" & "Mistake", new leaked demos

Thanks for that. Surprised Mistake was recorded as late as 75. Can't imagine that Stanley could have intended it as a serious contender for DTK so I wonder if he was thinking of it as a song for someone else, ala HLW and Rod Stewart? :?

Re: "Smoke" & "Mistake", new leaked demos

Anyone know when these were recorded? They sound like they were Wicked Lester rejects. Like them both but can see they wouldn't have worked on the early KISS albums, Country slide guitar!

Re: Frehleys Comet Reunion A Possibility??

Surely Frehley's Comet was just a backing group for Ace wasn't it? It's not as if anyone extra would turn up to see Regan/Howarth/Fig, the only draw then as now is Ace who already has a pretty solid backing group so I can't see what the point of it would be? :?

TREV AND RICH RIDE AGAIN!

Small potatoes I know what with all these KISS dates and all but my good buddy Rich and meself are doing our bad boys of DTK thing (AKA Russian Roulette) next month. Needless to say there are a couple of KISS TOONS on the set list along with some other rocktastic stuff to keep your toes tapping. If ...

Re: erm... how does it go again??

I'll tell you what Trev. Try playing the Les Dawson way, its unbelievably hard to do. You still have to play the correct tune with the correct notes but whilst playing the bass notes correctly with the left hand, you have to change key constantly with the right but still keep the structure of the s...

Re: Happy birthday Criss 3 - Rich Sawyer

Just to let you know Rich is currently not able to access the internet but I spoke to him recently and he wanted to say thanks to everyone who has wished him well. On a side note Rich and I are now band mates in a covers band called Russian Roulette (surprisingly we do a few KISS numbers) so hope to...

Re: Ace at Shepherds Bush???

Ace was just abit of a let down after that lot. Many felt this way hense the loud booing noises. People werent doing it for their health and well being were they now? Kev I've just heard from the ministry of truth that any recollections of booing are totally false, it is now official, ...

Re: Ace at Shepherds Bush???

Well that explains it then...the watch got knocked back an hour and Ace thought he was actually hitting the stage at 9 when infact it was 10 I can see why people who did the meet and greets got more out of the experience but most of the people who just went for the show (which was the main event!) ...

Re: Ace at Shepherds Bush???

I was stood next to the sound desk and was told by the engineer that Ace had finished the meet and greets long before 10pm and would come on when he felt like it. I did notice when someone shouted "Get ur f***kin arse onstage Ace!!" and others started booing the band appeared very s...
