Re: Greatest Sporting events
I have a Top 3; 01. Barry Town 3 FC Porto 1 (Champs League Qually 2001) 02. Nigel Mansell winning the British GP, 1992 (I think he won by 3 weeks, but the event itself was incredible) 03. Damon Hill winning the Japanese GP, 1994 (completely tonked Schumacher in the wet to line up a last race showdow...

Re: British GP moving to Donington from 2010!
Funnily enough, I emailed Gene at his website the other week and asked him what was the deal between him and Rich Abramson being at Download. The connection obviously is that Abramson is Gene's business partner, and Abramson isn't normally one for following KISS around on tour. It's just that Downlo...

Happy 4th July to the fine folks' of the U.S.A., and particularly those who frequent this website indicating that, through the passage of a coupla centuries since you booted us out of the country we founded for you :wink: you bare no real grudges. Hope everybody has a happy and safe one. Oh, and tha...

I haven't bought one since Keys Part 2, Dan. Come to think of it, I never bought it back then. My mate had it on vinyl so I taped it. Home-taping is killing music though, kids. Watch out for it.

I just haven't the appetite for other bands right now
Yeah, I enjoy listening to all sorts, but doing an arena somewhere watching somebody other than KISS fills me with dread. This isn't simply because I'm currently on a KISS high, I've had this feeling ("this feeee-liiiiing!") for a while now. The past year, apart from Prince at the o2 which...

Had a day of the Paris and Download gig in my head in work today, so tried out something different on the way home;

Yeah, it was a great 30 weeks, 25 of which I think I managed fu*k up plugfooty's results. Well, no more than he did his own, lol. Just kidding! Funnily enough, I was going to end this season by asking should we do a Euro 2008? Anyway, I'm away for a week or two now, so I'll come up with something ma...

Re: petrol
Why does the price vary between supermarket sites of the same name, their food doesn't. In Ruislip Sainsburys its a good 4p more expensive than Watofr 20 miles away? I know!! I do a double-take every time I go past the new Morrisson's down Cardiff Bay, it's 1p cheaper than my local Morrisson's near...

Re: 2008 VH1 Rock Honors
KISS doing 'Won't Get Fooled Again'?! :shock: :shock: Can't wait for this though, it sounds a hoot. It would be very cool to hear somebody like Metallica doing 'I Can't Explain' in the same mould they did Queen's 'Stone Cold Crazy' years ago. How many bands have actually covered Who tracks though? U...

I've got a little 1.4 Daewoo thing I bought way back when with the missus. It's a sad state of affairs, but I just can't afford to live where I'm living anymore, and part of the problem is the huge hit I'm taking each month on petrol costs alone. I live in Barry, which is on the s.Wales coast, but w...

I always smile when I hear the line about the 'high tech DEVO suit' on the Special Forces album. (I think.) Oh man, what a song. That's 'Dance Yourself To Death' from Flush. Mom's hair's all green and dirty She wears a high tech Devo Suit She changed her name to Xerox She hides Quaaludes in her boo...
