I had a meeting in Oxford today and noticed a free Kiss Sonisphere Ticket in the window of the Cash Converters ... ok not actually a ticket but a Bass that normally sells for £1000 but you can have it for £800 and I'll throw in a free Sonisphere Ticket. Sorry no photo, spec, condition details or genuine serial number available    Kiss fans helping Kiss fans

All the blurb that is about indicates only European show of the year, but as someone suggested earlier, there could be a warm up gig somewhere.

Personally I am trying to work out the finances and logistics, I live within a couple of hours, but also like a beer or 5 with my gigs. Wife would not enjoy the all dayer and I am not just turning up for Kiss. I want some value for my £100.

Hopefully I get there, am also very much looking forward to seeing Within Temptation, not sure about Wolf Mother (not on my playlist, will need to put that right).

Would love the Special Guests to be Skid Row, even without Mr Bach (Seb, that is).

Friday would be my only day, not because I don't like the rest of the days but Money rules, I am afraid.

100 quid is a lot for a 2 hour gig....

but it is kiss..i missed the last download gig for same reasons, and regretted it.

so.....have to get the misses out on the streets...again.

Well my financial situation is mental at the moment....so briefly considered missing it (or buying a ticket last moment). That was until this morning when i woke up to my dad calling me on the phone and telling me he's buying. :D
TREMENDOUS! :D

See you there!

I cannot wait for this. It's payday this friday so I will get my weekend ticket then. We should try and organise some kind of Kissinuk camp if people are up for that. Either way I think there is something magical about an outdoor KISS show. Donington will be hard to beat but even if they come close it will make my year :D

We're looking into it, if it's possible to go.
Can someone here who went to the festival before answer me some questions?

1) Is it possible to go by train to London after the show on friday?
2) Any good (not so expensive) hotel in London (near the trainstation) or festival, that you can recommend me?
Any more info would be appreciated...

I know many of you have been to Sonisphere, but for those who haven't it is a hugely enjoyable festival. To be honest I don't know many of the younger bands that have been on in the last two years and alot of them are a pile of poo but it is very well organised, there are some great stalls. very family friendly. The kids go mental, but the security are so good, making sure that everyone has as safe time as possible which is very important.
There is an area at the front which is boxed in to save overcrowding so if you want to get near the front you need to make your
way down well before Kiss. Although there are about 5 stages the main two are opposite ends of the main arena at the bottom of a slight hill at each end so viewing is usually good.

I know the cost is horrendous but remember Aerosmith were charging £100 at the O2. Car park is expensive and if any of you haven't got an MOT or tax The old bill have been nicking everyone on the way in last two years so be careful. The station is less than 3 miles away so might be worth training it. There is also a shuttle bus but as you can imagine will get packed and still has the traffic to contend with.

My fave tent Mr Teas, £1.50 for a cup of builders tea and 2 biccies. As you can see main stage is huge and very easy to get close if you want to.

I hope somehow everyone can get there.

As Roger says at last we have something to talk about. :D

Rockhead - Latest advertised train is 23.45 to London but there may be extra trains laid on, can't confirm though.

There are a few travel lodges near Euston and Kings X which will probably be your best bet. First trains Saturday will be 4.30 ish so you could always have a party outside and have a long slow walk to the station and save on a hotel room.
