I think that after 'I Love It Loud' BOMBED in the USA (It didn't make the Top 100), the record label probably thought it was best to promote some other band...

'Killer' was only ever a UK release, I believe, and was actually a Double A side (remember them?!) with 'ILIL'. The UK was never going to get a promo video on its own.

'Creatures...' the single, had airings on the various Europe TV channels by studio performances/lip synchs by the band.

Not seen this one from Spain before
"I went to my friend's house one day, and he had an electric guitar he had just bought with a tiny little amp. I turned the volume up to 10 and I hit one chord, and I said, I'm in love."

So what about the Creatures/Rock n' roll all night double grooved A side with signatures on the b'side.

I have Killer 7" - tongue and the 12".

Was I love it loud released in Europe?

This is a brill album - how could this bomb - I don't know.

This was released in late '82 - Bill Aucoin was sacked .... I'm sure if he was on top of his game ala 1977-1980 - he would have promoted this better.

Ah, but KISS were pretty much out of Bill's hands by this time according to the Chris Lendt book and they'd just horrified their new record label with The Elder sales so judging by that you can imagine how much 'support & promo' Creatures received.

Also, it has been proven with a lot of bands over the years - when their previous album has been quite different in style from the rest of their back catalog and it flops and on the next album they do an album similar to their old stuff it doesn't always do as well as people think.

Creatures may be my favourite KISS album. All killer no filler ( with the possible exception of Killer funnily enough, I think the weakest song on the album and odd choice for a single). I Still Love You, just how a rock ballad should be not like some of the more recent efforts from Paul.
If KISS match the songwriting on Creatures with the new album then I for one will be very happy.
I said to her ' Honey that ain't no pistol thats my...'
I SAID TO HER ' HONEY THAT AIN'T NO PISTOL THATS MY ... LOVE GUN'.

The 12" was fun. It came with a Dark Side and a Bright Side ('IWMFLY'). Talk about mis-match! It's a pretty unique effort, but the actual cover is absolute toss. Awful.

Brillant album!
Eric Carr plays his heart out and the album as a whole sounds great.
Shame the album still bombed though but I guess the public thought it was going to sound like The Elder and had given up on Kiss altogether by that time.

I've been giving COTN a lot of play recently and I have to say it's one of the best sounding Kiss albums ever.

I love the drum sound and Gene has a wicked bass sound on this record. Love all his bass runs and slides throughout the album.

Definitely in my top 10 Kiss albums.
