I’m not a newbie but I haven’t put an entry on this thread so here goes............

How did you get into the band?
My sister was a big KISS fan when I was 5. I remember she used to play Unmasked a lot. She planted the seed and by about 10, I resumed my interest and was hooked ever since.

What's your fave record/member/DVD etc?
Member: Gene Simmons without a doubt!
Record: Very hard this one......Hotter Than Hell, Unmasked, Hot in the Shade, Carnival of Souls
DVD / Video: Fave DVD is KISS Symphony coz I am on it.....for like 1 second. Fave Video would be KISS Exposed.....such a funny video and my first proper release KISS video I bought.

How many times have you seen the band? Have you seen them abroad?
I have seen KISS 14 times. I was born in Australia and only been in the UK for 4 years now. I saw them at the Islington gig last week and seen them 13 times in Oz on the Reunion (3 shows), Farwell (6 shows), Symphony and Rock the Nation (3 shows) tours.

I will be seeing them 6 times this May and I can’t wait!!! My wife is struggling to understand why I wanna see them a further 6 times.......she will never understand and to be honest, I have given up trying to explain it!

What does Kiss mean to you?
KISS means everything to me. I started growing a goatee after seeing Gene on the cover of Revenge. KISS has brought so many good times!! I have made a lot of friends who are KISS fans. All of us KISS fans share something special that a lot of other ppl will never understand. Ok...I am getting toooo deep here....I’m sure you all understand what I am on about.

Have you ever met a current or ex member of Kiss?
I met Bruce and Eric at Melbourne airport. We were camping out (I so miss that) for Reunion tickets when Bruce an Eric came out for their clinic tours. We got mates to keep our spot in line and went to the gig on the night and airport the next morning. Eric remembered me from the gig the night before and we sat with them for about an hour at the airport. I met Ace in Sydney Star City Hotel & Casino on the Farwell tour (one of my favourite tours). He was really hammered and was abusing every KISS fan he could see as he was getting hassled by them for an autograph and all he wanted was to drink and gamble. I must admit I don’t blame him coz he was getting followed everywhere...even into the toilets. I also met Ace at the recent gig in London and got an awesome pic and autograph!

Hi Guys, this is my first post, i love this forum it's great!

How did you get into the band?
Erm.. maybe i'm slightly embarrassed to say of Grand Theft Auto when Strutter was on it, and from Bill and Ted, and i just checked them out from there and my fascination grew! The Facepaint, the Unmasking, the albums, the drama, the music and the Passion! Love it!

What's your fave record/member/DVD etc?
For me? Destroyer it's terrific really good album, i can say i truly loved listening to it time and time again in about 2007 for about 6 months consecutively, Shout it Out Loud, Kotntw, and Flaming Youth My Favourites there :).
My Favourite Song, would probably be Strutter. I got into KISS through Strutter and it's the first and a very great song, CCN and SIOL come very very close though.
I couldn't bring myself to watch a DVD just simply because it would make me sick, being 18 obviously i wasn't old enough to go to KISS when i was younger especially on my own to somewhere bizarre like Plymouth! But now they are here i cannot wait!

How many times have you seen the band? Have you seen them abroad?

I haven't seen them yet, I'm not that lucky, but i am going to see them and i cannot wait. I'm going to the Echo Arena event on Tuesday and also decided to slip in a cheeky visit to Dublin, £6 flights and £20 ticket = Recipe for Heaven. So in answer 2 and if i can i might squeeze in a day trip to Rock am Park to see them.

What does Kiss mean to you?

Alot.
I'm sure alot of you will have the same feeling, when you hear them, you want more you wanna go see them, wanna jam with them, wanna be in their Eyeline.
They have effected me, they make me feel happy, they made me experience other rock, made me go explore whats out there, showed me that after 37 years you can still rock the show and be heroes, thats what they are to me.

Have you ever met a current or ex member of Kiss?
Not yet anyway! I've been given a few hints to where they may be staying in Liverpool and Dublin, so i might go check it out and wait in hope they'll sign something or something, but mind it's effectively a £905 freebie, so won;t hold my hopes high!

KISS 2010 SONIC BOOM ALL OVER EUROPE - I'LL BE THERE :)

Hey Folks,

Been Skimming on this forum for a while so thought I would Register and get involved.

Like the rest of You, Really excited about the Sonic Boom over Europe Tour - Next Weekend will be like Christmas.

Flight from Edinburgh to Dublin on Friday, Return Saturday, Drive through to Glasgow on the Sunday, then get the train down to Manchester on Monday morning - So it's Marty's 'Planes, Trains & Automobiles Sonic Boom Tour'

Been called mad by a few folks at work... but hey its KISS..

Got into the band around Animalize.

Fav Record - would be Destroyer!!!

Seen the band 6 times - First time at Donington 88, last time over in Munich 2 years ago - its been 18 years since they came to Scotland, will be rocking out with my Kids in Glasgow on the 9th, they both love Kiss.

Kiss means good time Rock n Roll, just as it should be....

Never met anyone from the band -

Keep Rockin'
Marty
