Basically I think that this is not a place where we need to advocate free speech on every occasion. Paul (and to some extent all of us) owns this place so if people need warned/banned/censored or whatever that's what should happen. I'm happy to see if the new level of moderation works out and I think having nine mods is a good idea so things get dealt with quickly. Hopefully a good balance will be struck.
I'm not into giving my full details, for all the reasons other people have listed. But funnily enough I'm called James, I was born in 1970 but I'm not really a KingThat stupid king name was all I could think of at the time because on ebay, James1970 was taken. (And I don't like trying to remember too many things at one time!). I'm a 39 year old Glaswegian living in London and been into Kiss since I was 13.

What does this site need? Well here is a view from someone who at the moment is very close to leaving permanently.
The simple solution is that everyone on a public board should be equally entitled to their opinion. If an old friend's opinion or someone with thousands of posts is automatically more valid than a newcomer no matter what the subject then this should be made a private board with membership restricted to a limited network of friends.
More moderators could be a good idea but what are they actually gonna do next time an argument blows up? Will they ban an old pal for life for the type of personal abuse that Daniel recieved via a PM? I bet Daniel or myself would have been off here in a flash had we done the same thing. A couple of the new moderator choices leave me gobsmacked that you think they will help resolve issues. Time will tell I guess.
Ban anyone who uses personal insults to try and win an argument. No board needs members with intelligence levels that low anyway. A week to cool off or life depending on what has happened.
The site needs less unwritten rules. Why, for example, is it perfectly acceptable on this board to describe new merchandise as 'utter shit' and be told if you disagree & think its quality that you are a 'dumbass'? If on the other hand I said that 50% of Anomaly is utter shit (which it is imo) I'd be seen as a trouble maker. This is despite the fact that many do exactly that whenever Asshole is discussed. I quite like Asshole, I like a lot of the merchandise & Frehley just about scrapes 10th place in my favourite Kiss members list. Those views on this site make me look like a trouble maker but they are just my opinion. I prefer Tommy Thayer and Bruce Kulick any day to any of the other Kiss guitarists. Just my opinion. I'd be gutted if the original 4 got back together again. In my opinion it would be a joke. I don't expect everyone to agree but I don't believe I should have to keep it quiet when for example the Tommy doubters are so vocal.
All that said, I love Kiss, every era of Kiss, most of us do. It shouldn't be that hard to get along but if getting along means not responding to threads you disagree with just to keep the peace then the point of a public discussion board is lost.

Good idea or a forum for any instrument related question.

I second that, if only to keep all the boring stuff about drums and guitars somewhere where I don't need to read them
