Bloody hell you certainly come out with some tosh at times young Jugg.
And you say we sound like a stuck record.

I think we're all setting ourselves up to the forthcoming season very nicely with our constant jibes and goading. Im looking forward to the campaign for threee reasons.
1. To see if Liverpool can finally win the Premier League
2. To see Grimsby Town get out of the bargain basement after Mike Newell has splurged on no less than 8 players.
3. The World Cup Finals which will give us all the chance at seeing top football for a month more than usual. The chance to sod off to the pub for no reason whatsoever, the chance to see if the home grown players we all rate so highly can perform on the biggest stage of all finally....and the appointment of Capello will justify the astounding pile of cash the F.A have thrown at him.

How much money do Madrid actually have ?? Alonso has gone for £30m now. :(
And I see Rafa has rushed out and not purchased the targets all LFC fans wanted.....again.
A staggering £20m on some spelling mistake from Roma ? What happened to David Silva ? David Villa and Juan Mata ? Hello Rafa, earth calling.
This Alberto Aquilani has been out crocked since before May. He's won a few things at U19 & U21 but as far as I know of him he might as well be Alberto Frog from Bod, but according to Rafa, he's going to excite the fans. Much the same way Babel does when he runs at breakneck speed toward the corner flag. The same way Dirk Kuyt does when he never goes past a defender and the way Rierra excitied us last season by looking as though he didn't give a shit.
Unless Rafa is talking about Aquilani in the same breath as Pennant, then its all ok. We all know how brilliant Pennant was for LFC.
Useless flat footed, talentless, bog brush. Worst Liverpool player EVER !!!!

Youre right, it is a puzzling buy but you should look on it as free money because a year or so ago when you were chasing Barry there was talk of Alonso going for £7m in the other direction to Villa. Shows how crazy Madrid's spree is, paying £20m if not £25m over the odds for a player who last season won nothing, played ok & surprised a few by doing so, but who many thought was past his prime in terms of performances if not age.

Madrid have yet again splurged mentally and will implode once more when the team fails to play together or win anything.
Alonso's sale was good business for Liverpool. Sad to see him go and even sadder to see Rafa failed to land one of the club's main targets.
I really do hope Aquilani does prove to be an astute signing. I think he'll find the pace & physicality of the Premiership a little overwhelming in his first year though. We still need a good pair of wingers, Rierra is utter crap & Dirk Kyut seems to have lost the ability to take any defenders on.
Anyway, we should have a good laugh at the Geordies on tv today as they begin their season in the Chamionship..... that place they were too big for.
