Another one of my childhood heroes passes on. I used to love Thunderbirds and all of Gerry's creations. Only last week on a drive up to Barrow i did the usual 5,4,3,2,1, countdown as i drove past Forton services. Childish, damn right but my love for the programme has never left me.

Gerry was responsible for my nick name at junior school, in fact i entered a school fancy dress as Joe 90. Wonderful memories.

RIP Gerry thanks for filling my childhood with such enjoyment.

Huge part of my childhood and beyond, was into the fandom bit as well, went to many conventions back in the '80's and met most of the people involved, including Gerry. A quiet unassuming man. F.A.B. S.I.G. R.I.P.
