Looking forward to the tournament, 1/4 finals aren't out of reach, who knows where we will finish.

(I expect the same old negative comments to follow)

would love to see england do well, but with the heat and humidity they might struggle to get out of the group, italy are decent and uruguay will not be push overs either

How can you blame Gerrard when Cahill and Jagielka were closer to the England goal and neither moved toward Suarez? Even Rio Ferdinand said this?

Overall England performed very poorly and were shown up to be a very average side. Individual errors aside we don't deserve to get through the group.

gerrard has been england best player for the last 10 years but this was 1 tournament too much, unfortunately nobody can stop the clock, i just hope he does the right think now like beckham did and stand down so the youngsters can get a run.

the second goal against uruguay wasnt really his fault it could have gone anywhere, but in the build up to the first goal he missed a tackle on the half way line and just didnt have the legs to chase back, a few years ago he just would not have even missed the tackle, but in general i found him to be off the pace in both games again not his fault age does terrible things to your legs

Good shout tallfruit, what was Wayne Rooney's excuse for playing so sh*t in both games!
This is only my opinion… it is neither right nor wrong (but my lovely wife tells me I'm always wrong)!

to be honest didnt think rooney did that bad in the second game, first game he was awful, but i suppose of the 2 goals england scored he supplied the cross for 1 and scored the other
