2 good reasons for coming to Cardiff...

Postby Dwight Fry » Fri May 08, 2009 12:29 pm

...actually, 2 good reasons!

1) THURSDAY 28TH MAY - SUPER FURRY ANIMALS Live at 'Sub29'.

2) FRIDAY 29TH MAY - Ex-Nottingham Forest captain John McGovern is the after dinner speaker at the Angel Hotel. Hear all those Brian Clough stories from someone who was there with him... and watch the Barry Town Players Awards beforehand. 3 course scran, and excellent raffle prizes (signed club and international shirts etc). PM me for tickets!

This is kinda funny because I contacted the SFA management to sponsor Barry Town's shirt's next season, and here they are doing a supporting slot.

Dwight - SFA have sold out - hope you got one.

Their management are considering more gigs - like this.

Yes, Dan, got there in early luckily.

Great news on the other shows like this. I was getting despondent that all they would be doing would be festivals. I'm not going to some cruddy field in the English midlands (no, not Villa Park!) for upwards of £70 to see them support some teenagers and wotnot. I'm in Caernarfon for a few days and I panicked when I saw the date of the show as I figured I was still away. Luckily, I return that day. Phew.

You wouldn't happen to have their management email address by any chance would you, Dan? I emailed Rough Trade the other day and they forwarded an email on to the management apparently, but would rather hear something from the horses mouth so to speak. PM me if a yes. Don't PM me if a no.

Spot on. They just announced a 2nd show, on the 27th.
