Directions from A180
On entering Grimsby follow A180 until end of dual carriageway. Turn right at final roundabout and follow signs for town centre. (Homebase should be on your right & Burger King on your left). At lights go straight through staying in right hand lane. (job centre on right, tesco on left). At next set of lights branch into far right filter lane. Turn right and stay in outside lane. (town centre car park will be in front of you). Go through lights and past car park until road bends to left. Move into left hand lane at lights. St James Hotel car park is in front of you over the mini roundabout.

Directions from A46
At bottom of hill go over roundabout (Merc dealer on right, Oaklands Hotel on right) head toward Grimsby. *STAY AT 50mph* and follow dual carriageway to Morrisons roundabout. keep forward & follow signs for town centre. Stay in right hand lane for roundabout and head along Laceby Road following signs for town centre / College. At college roundabout (college on left) stay in left lane and head along Bargate through next lights staying in left lane. At next lights stay in left lane (Millfields on left) go past Wheatsheaf Pub staying in left lane until you reach an over pass. Go through lights and over bridge staying in left hand lane/ At lights branch left (church is on right / St.James ahead) at next lights get into right hand lane. Turn right & go over mini roundabout back on yourself into St James Hotel car park.

THE TOWN CENTRE IS ONE WAY OMLY AND IS A COMPLETE SHIT TO NAVIGATE BACK AROUND IF YOU MISS THE TURNING INTO THE HOTEL CAR PARK.


Places to eat during the day if you get really desperate:
Chambers (within puking distance of the hotel)
The Parity (within puking distance of the hotel)
St James Fisheries (head toward church, across road crossing around corner where O'Neils pub used to be and its in front of you over other side of railway lines)
Usual chav hang outs / coffee bars, etc
If you fancy a pint in a rock bar head for Lloyds Arms. Follow town centre past Mc Donalds & Pizza Hut and its opposite New Look. (The smell is a give away).
Or if you want to be really sad you can go shopping in the largest chav infested town centre in the north east. Good luck with that !
