Seeing as they struggled to sell out Wembley which I think was their only UK show a number of years ago which was subsequently cancelled I agree its very ambitious. OWuld love to see them though.

Looks like those are more hoped dates than dates that are possible in reality.

I'm gonna brave and say that I'm not gonna do any.
I have my memories - Donington 1984 and Brum 1993.
Ethically - don't like the way Michael Anthony was treated ....
What's the capacity of O2? 20,000 - that is very optimistic.

yes, neutering him without an anestheticEthically - don't like the way Michael Anthony was treated ....
I agree, there just isn't a big enough diehard following to fill it.. I may be wrong but my gut says no..What's the capacity of O2? 20,000 - that is very optimistic.
feel free to feel offended, cyber-bullied, put out, outside of the clique, side-lined, marginalised or just generally have the piss taken out of. However it's a JOKE!-Nick's Mirth World!
Re: Van Halen UK Tour Dates?!
Neither do I, but a chance to see DLR & EVH on the same stage for possibly the last time is too good a chance to miss...(seeing as I didn't see them in 1984 and in 1993 it was Van Hagar which is a completely different band)...Dan bach wrote:I'm gonna brave and say that I'm not gonna do any.

Re: Van Halen UK Tour Dates?!
A gig either side of my birthday in August, hmmmm.
Sod it, I've never been that huge a Van Halen fan to bother really. Now if this was 1984 I would have jumped at seeing messer's Roth/Van Halen & Anthony at their prime.....still, if it WAS 1984 all my money would be going on the Animalize tour.

Re: Van Halen UK Tour Dates?!
Having been lucky enough to have seen VH supporting Sabbath and on their VH II & Women & Children First tours then with Sammy at the NEC (poor...very poor!) I can honestly say I would love to see them again with DLR.
While I would prefer to see M. Anthony in the band you cannot deny the quality of the DLR era songs and whoever is playing bass, at the end of the day its DLR & EVH that matter.

Re: Van Halen UK Tour Dates?!
would have to do cardiff if it happened just for old times sake
Re: Van Halen UK Tour Dates?!
If these dates are to be believed then im defo doing Cardiff.
I like all eras of VH as I believe they all gave something special to the band.
It always cracks me up when people go on about the DLR era being the best and the Sammy one crap.
Strange then how when Sammy was in the band they had their first number one album which was 5150 and they also had video of the year with Right now etc etc.
A lot more than they earned with DLR.
As I said I love all eras of Van Halen but the DLR era is not the be all and end all of the band.
In 1995 when they supported Bon Jovi at Wembley it was a dark time for the band as Sammy and Eddie were not getting on hence why Sammy left after the Balance tour.

Re: Van Halen UK Tour Dates?!
This brings back memories of seeing them at the now defunkt Rainbow in Finsbury Park circa 1978 just after finishing our 'o' levels that summer. Outstanding show and a highlight for many years.
