Why? What's happening?

It's his birthday party. Shane is so popular, he is having to have it staged on different nights, and due to the expected crowds, May was the only time he could get everyone together.
As a special "Thanks for coming to my party", he's arranged for a big US band to play at the different venues (tickets required).

Rules of coming to the party, everyone must buy a pint for Shane.
