I'm surprised anyone used Club1316 at all. Allan D Tate and all the other mods ran that place like a fkn nazi war camp. The called it a bootleg site but banned everything that was posted because the audio wasn't good enough for them or some shit like that. I remeber Cam (chaimwhitz on here) having a big row with them and said "no wonder ppl fly planes into your building you c**ts"

Hi:

I have had some time to reflect on a personal sad chapter in KISStory,
namely the closing of a favorite torrent portal last evening. I feel like
part of my KISS family disappeared. When Gene and KISS management decided to
reign-in KISS Websites under the guise that KISS is a trademarked machine
and only KISSonline.com needs to be the go-to, one-size-fits-all repository
for all-things KISS, I felt sleighted and I empathized with all the fans who
hosted their own Websites. Time healed some of the anomosity, and Sites
sprung up again despite Uncle Gene's rantings, but Gene has been very clear
that no one (no one) deserves to make a penny, engage in illegal trafficking
of bootlegs and unreleased KISS media, and so forth. He needs to protect his
baby and his brand. Gene needs to ensure that a traded boot would instead
have seen the light as an officially released selection from the KISS
catalog. Gene would have been deprived of another nickel, but I understand
the business model. It is more than intellectual property rights. That said,
the selfless thousands who have engaged in trading and SEEDING and LEECHING
from torrent Sites have, in my opinion, justified the action because we keep
the fire and passion stoked. Sitting in front of a collection of thousands
and thousands of shows, both in audio and video format, testifies to my
obsession. DIME has a very explicit disclaimer, reproduced below and full
property rights belong to DIME:

"DIME is merely a BitTorrent tracker for audio and video recordings of
independent origin (ROIO) which have not been officially released. No audio
or video content is hosted here. We only provide meta information files for
the ROIOs.
If you're an artist (or a legal representative of an artist or its
estate) and you don't want your ROIOs shared on DIME for free among your
fans, you may opt out any time by sending e-mail to the site admin. We will
then put you in our list of not allowed artists, known as the NAB list. This
will halt all sharing of your ROIOs using DIME's trackers within minutes.
BTW, the ROIOs exist, you can't make them vanish. So, why not let your
fans get them for free from one another instead of having to purchase them
from commercial bootleggers on auction sites?"

KISS torrents that are available on PirateBay, JamToThis, BTMon,
BTJunkie, SendSpace as a hosting Site, MegaUpload, Demonoid (thanks John!!),
and the many, many KISS-specific sites (which I will not mention by name out
of deference to those who work very hard to maintain their Sites) will not
disappear.

Making an example out of any one of our friends (Gene is currently in
the news and might be on a relentless warpath) has given some to reflect on
the value of playing with fire at this point in time.
One person paused, reflected, and decided to close shop. I respect his
decision.

Those fans who archive email addresses know to whom they can contact
if something is missing from their library. I just want to pay homage to my
friend who made a well-thought-out decision to close shop on one of our
favorite Websites which many, many of us have rallied around, supported and
traded shows in the spirit of sharing a common interest which made us one
(happy) family.

Except Ted...who we all wish would surface and at least say hello.

Everyone have a nice week-end. Long live the Club. Do a little
research on the state of boots and downloading and you will be better
educated without being pissed-off.
