Locking of threads ???
Why was a recent thread where quite decent discussion was happening locked ?
http://www.kissinuk.com/bb/viewtopic.ph ... 2&start=60" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
No profanity, no major fall outs, just discussion.
Could the mod that did it please state why ?
This is not a bait post just wondering.

Because it was going nowhere and getting very boring. If you don't like it then I apologise but it was bringing the board down...(I too receive PM's from users, not all that are as active as others)...

Indeed, i start a healthy thread and shock horror it causes "debate" mods and mods mates don't like it - it gets locked, nobody slagged anyone off nobody got personal but a mod said it was boring and a non mod suggested it got locked! back seat moderation and cliqueyness rules ok? bullshit forum.

Re: Locking of threads ???
I would have thought that actions like this should bring attention to the fact that perhaps this "problem" a year ago has not been solved by the mods and perhaps certain "mods" are causing a new problem like the one mentioned above.
Re: Locking of threads ???
Would you all like it unlocking? If the majority say yes, it will be unlocked.ric k iss wrote:Indeed, i start a healthy thread and shock horror it causes "debate" mods and mods mates don't like it - it gets locked, nobody slagged anyone off nobody got personal but a mod said it was boring and a non mod suggested it got locked! back seat moderation and cliqueyness rules ok? bullshit forum.

No, keep it locked, would like to know why it was locked though ?Pete wrote:Would you all like it unlocking? Is rational discussion amongst likeminded people a problem to all mods or just some mods or a single mod ?

So if I feel a thread is boring will it be locked if I suggest it and people back it up ?Pete wrote:You wanted an answer...Mr.Spireite wrote:Err we were playing nice.......

Re: Locking of threads ???
No!!! a thread will be locked if we think it's going to cause trouble which obviously you are doing with this one.

Not trying to cause problems, see above "Asked a question" which for all purposes hasn't been answered.
