Best Album of 2010?

Post by skinnymartin »

Wondered if anyone wanted to suggest their favourites for 2010. Mine is definitely the Murderdolls "Women and Children Last". Listened to it all the way through whilst runnning on the treadmill this morning. It is undoubtedly an all killer no filler album full of anger and kick ass toons.

I'd have to agree with you there my Saxon stalkin' chum, though i'd say the Black Veil Brides and Avenged Sevenfold albums were also some of the top releases of 2010.
Just play the bass you bell-end!!

Black Veil Brides are, I believe, supporting the Murderdolls on part of their tour in February.

My favourite album of 2010 was DEATH IN JUNE - Peaceful Snow.

I also enjoyed these, in no real order -

MIKE PATTON - Mondo Cane
KANYE WEST - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
TRIPTYKON - Eparistera Diamones
ZEITKRATZER - Whitehouse Electronics
ANATHEMA - We're Here Because We're Here
MELVINS - The Bride Screamed Murder
LUCIEN DUBUIS TRIO featuring Marc Ribot - Ultime Cosmos
SCOTT JOHNSON - Americans
GHOST - Opus Eponymous
JAILBREAK ( Corsano / Leigh ) - The Rocker
MERZBOW - Another Merzbow Records
JOHN ZORN - Dictee / Liber Novus
AUTOPSY - The Tomb Within ( if EP's count )
DEATH TO FALSE METAL

Without a doubt Accept 'Blood Of The Nations'. Not only one of the best albums this year (As voted by Metal hammer) one of the best metal albums in the last decade I reckon.

For me it has to be Reckless Love's debut effort. They were great live too.
But I have always really enjoyed:
Avantasia-The Wicked Symphony/Angel of Babylon
My Chemical Romance-Danger Days (may not be a popular choice but it's great from start to finish imo)
Airbourne-No guts, No glory.
Let’s come to London, strip it down, turn it up and blow the roof off The O2 Academy.

Reckless Love....cringeworthy nonsense. Each to their own though :D . I personally hope Reckless Love and Steel Panther disappear/implode very shortly. The joke is getting stale.
