I bought my current player back in 06 following a recommendation on here, it had to be able play “Kissology” so was region 1 (or multi region?). It now needs to be replaced, any suggestions for a similar kinda thing?

The unlock codes available on ebay have always worked for me. Therefore you can buy any DVD and unlock for £1.50.

Why pay for it to be unlocked when Richer Sounds will sell it as multi-regional?

I replaced my DVD player with one of these http://www.richersounds.com/product/blu" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... ny-bdps470 from Richer Sounds and it was multi region For DVD play back straight out Box
Check with the store before you buy , also most muti region hacks for Dvd Player can be found on the internet as most Dvd player aee hacked to make them region free via a Remote control that you can purchase .

What dvd player do you have there may be an easy remote hack to make it multi region as it is

Because Tescos sell £20 dvd players that can be unlocked for £1.50.

Blu Ray is pretty cheap now, about £80.

Not sure about region locking but if you're gonna upgrade, you way as well go up to the next tech level.
