Advertising of Tribute bands

Post by Mr.Spireite »

A local venue near me is always advertising tribute bands as the real thing for example coming up soon is

Rod Stewart / Westlife & Boyzone and they use actual pictures of the real artist on massive posters.

What do poeople think of this as on their website they say it's a tribute. I know only the dumb would think that the real thing is there but come on it always makes me chuckle.

Yep, but if you notice they are using images of the real thing and when it will come up to it they will have a big awning outside saying "Peter Kay appearing" ???

That wasn't the question....

I think it's basically laziness on the part of the venue and is also opportunistic... but often is out of the bands control...
