Reg Presley
A fond farewell to Reg Presley the lead singer of The Troggs.. Died of Lung cancer yesterday. This is the guy that wrote Wild Thing!! Respect! Just listen to some of the Troggs stuff, it is fantastic.. (and yes I know he wrote " Love is all around " as well ,but the Troggs version is off the scale compared to W*t W*t W*t's...
Ziggy played guitar...or was it Ronson?

Re: Reg Presley
Absolutely agree that the Troggs were a class band. Sad loss.

Re: Reg Presley
Wild Thing was the 1st song I ever played in a band ........ the Hendrix version is sublime.
Very sad loss, RIP Reg.

RIP
Re: Reg Presley
I hope he is enjoying a great rock and roll party in the sky, with all the other great rockers who have passed away over the years
This is only my opinion… it is neither right nor wrong (but my lovely wife tells me I'm always wrong)!

Not actually the case (it was written by Chip Taylor), but he was mainly responsible for one of the funniest things you'll ever hear:madmark wrote:This is the guy that wrote Wild Thing!!

Concerning the Troggs Tapes I know it WAS one of Zeppelin's favorite Bus/Coach/private plane tapes to listen to...
