The horror of that day will never ever be forgotten, today is a day for all football fans to unite and pay tribute and hope that justice will be forthcoming.

I cannot believe it was a quarter of a century ago...(Think about that time length...)

Re: 25 years ago...
With the ongoing investigation and all the new revelations of what went on that fateful day yesterday's anniversary will have hit home even harder. Because of major mistakes made by people who supposedly knew what they were doing the people who died never stood a chance. A sad sad day for every football fan no matter who you support,I remember it like yesterday. Thankfully the truth is finally being told,it wont bring back any of the poor souls who died but hopefully it will ensure that other fans families and friends will never have to endure the pain and injustice that the Hillsborough families have suffered for the last 26 years.

God bless the families that never gave up fighting for justice. You finally got what you always knew to be the truth confirmed (albeit 27 years & 11 days too late) & now the whole world knows it too.
May justice be swift against those who have been proven to be responsible for this totally avoidable tragedy.
R.I.P the 96 souls who went to a game of football (something I'm sure many of us on here have done and continue to do so) and never came back.

Just finished watching the service in Liverpool and I have nothing but admiration for the families of the victims. Their loved ones were accused of being drunk, pickpockets and when they challenged the authorities they were sent down many blind alleys. Still they persevered and now 27years later the truth is known.
The police force and no doubt senior government officials who tried to cover this up should hang their heads in shame.
RIP the 96...

Disgraceful that the jury did not return a guilty verdict on the head cop.
Coming up to 30 years and the families still have no justice!!!

Not sure they have no justice. Fans have been cleared of any wrong doing and that's what a lot of the families wanted. Hopefully a retrial will find the officer 'in charge' guilty of gross incompetence. 30 years though. I remember it like yesterday.acesmiddlefinger wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 11:11 pm Disgraceful that the jury did not return a guilty verdict on the head cop.
