Its £70 not £170
Organisation is brilliant: Toilets, showers are all hygenic and cleaned

The Biergarten is open from 7am til 6am
Headbangers Ballroom
The Metal Market
the atmosphere is brilliant, no one steals from your tent, and your not sleeping in shite..

The bands may not be as premier (ie this year Dony had Crue and Maiden, Wacken didnt really have the top headliner: reformed Immortal, In Flames, Blind Guardian) but the crack and atmosphere is far nicer...

Give me Wacken every time!

Cool.

Sounds like it's typically German. I.e very efficently run.

I just had fun re-reading a post from around about this time last year announcing rumours from MetalHammer that KISS were doing Download 2007. Have a look further down the list. Doesn't time fly when you haven't had any fun.

Maiden are confirmed for Wacken:

http://www.wacken.com/en/woa2008/main-bands/billing-2008/

I am going with No 1 son and a few mates on a road trip through Belgium and Germany. Avantasia (hopefully with Eric Singer, who usually does their drums) are also playing.

The Priest/Kiss Download rumour is everywhere, I pray it's right - I just can't see Priest playing 2nd fiddle to Kiss. Other headliners are supposed 2 be Slipsnot and Lost Prophets. Neither excite me - but I will probably go.

I read on Blabbermouth the other day that Judas Preist are set to play Download. Nothing menshunned abou Kiss though.

Oh and yeh, I want a day tiket to. Not paying 150 just for the prividg of standing in a field for Kiss, no matter how much I luv the band!!!
Well you know, I got the kind of loving that you need. That's why the ladies call me Mr Speed!

If KISS play I will do the whole 3 days. It is bloody expensive - but it's worth it for KISS, plus it gives a chance ot check out some new live stuff and eat nothing but shit chinese food for 3 days.

Anybody need some dishes or sweeping up doing round the house to earn a few extra bucks for this as my good lady Mrs. KMD is not being co-operative
