A tragic waste of a life. Got involved in drugs and it all went wrong, as it sometimes does.
Got to feel for his family and his girlfriends, I couldn't see a good outcome for this.
I cant even imagine how the poor bloke has been feeling.
Before all of the judgements start about durg users, lets look at record collections shall we, and even closer to home a couple of our favorite band members.
The pain now is left for his family and friends.
Very sad
RIP

Apparantly hes not been himself since his fiance was found dead. He was taken in on suspicion of her murder, but released without charge.
Sounds like guy just couldnt deal with it, so sad.

Re: Mark Speight
Just read this myself - so out of touch with what's going on in the news....
Really sad stuff - very talented bloke. As Fox~Fan mentioned, he'd not been right since his Fiancee died.
Thought he was terrific... good memories of my early teens "Scratchy & co" on sat mornings - very cool.
Poor bloke just couldn't deal with the loss and sank into depression
Still not 100% confirmed it's him as yet though that has been found.....

My friends' elder children (10 - 13 year olds) are really distraught with this.
A tragedy as people say.
Two beautiful lives lost.

Re: Mark Speight
I feel for his family. He must have gone through such a torment over the last weeks. Now his poor family will be mulling things over in their brain wondering if they could have done anything, when in truth there was probably nothing they could have done to prevent it.

Re: Mark Speight
My line manager here at work was friends with 'Speighty' during and after his school years in Wolverhampton. Understandably, he's gutted.
It seems crazy that one night of 'partying' could lead to the deaths of two seemingly, bright and intelligent people.
Just say no kids.....

Re: Mark Speight
But why Paddington station with a noose? strange....
shame, he was (before all gone tits up) a funny bloke. And a fairly talented artist. But if youd just found the love of your life dead and half boiled you'd be a little unstable too, lol.
bless 'im.
i didn't laugh at this death, go me.

Re: Mark Speight
His best mate is apparantly trying to blame the police for his death. He was stopped earlier the day he went missing acting strangely. Difficult to know if he should criticise them, may be he's just upset and hitting out.
A real tragic waste of 2 lives.

He was found hanging on the roof just yards away from the offices used by the Transport Police who were looking for him.Spooky_Von_Glitter wrote:well in that case that place actually meant something to him.
