Chris Holmes has just formed a new band with original MOTÖRHEAD drummer Philip "Philthy Animal" Taylor. He's also been playing some low key LA dates solo and was part of Randy Pipers band 'Animal' around 2000-2002 but they parted ways (again).

Wurzel released an ambient/trance cd titled "Chill Out or Die" about 10 years ago. I was never able to get my hands on a copy. That's the last I heard about him. I missed him for a while, but Phil Campbell's been handling things just fine on his own these past 13 years, thank you.

I meant the 13 years since Wurzel bailed out.

Jason Newstead

last seen with US exprimental thrash band VOIVOD !

http://www.voivod.net/

Although rarely heard of in this country they were in fact one of the most awesome bands I ever heard

Huge tradgedy for VoiVod as thier much loved guitarist 'Piggy' died recently and I kind of think that will be the end of VoiVod

kinda like trying to carry on The White Stripes without Jack White

WHY DID Jason leave Metalica ? He was one of thr best bassists in the world ??

Voivoid - I agree are awesome ....
Jason has done two albums with them - I have them.

I went to the THRASH fest in Leeds in 1987 to see 'Deth, Virus, Cro Mags etc - but mainly to see VoiVod - they didn't show up - something to do with customs or something.

Jason left because of the crap happening in 'Tallica camp in 2000,2001,2002 ....... he's better off out of it .... Lars ipoo and JaymZ have lost it big style (imho)

Cam & Woody - is this singular Wurzels, Wurzel Gummidge (RIP Jon Pertwee) or 'Head ace guitarist?

Jasons leaving was a long time comning - and justice for all was a nice introduction for him -lets completley turn down the bass for the entire album - welcome. He was always sidelined but i think they started paying him and stuff after 15 years. Then again could you survive 20 years in a band with lars fuc*ing ulrich?Ive met him twice and actually begged him to stop talking at one autograph signing.

'Kin 'ell, Chris Holmes! I used to love his guitar with "I'm A Animal" written on the back of the neck.

I could never work out if it was a joke or not.
