Am I the spelling police or something :?: :? :?:

Sorry...

Enjoy your gig!

Anyway. Back to the thread.

Almack - go for it luv!!
You only live once - there's my little piece of advice!!!!!

I've been wanting something KISS related for a long while, but alot of thought is needed - obviously 'cos as the body ages, so does your tattoo- it must be something that you're going to want to look at for the rest of your life, and still love. (Obviously that's not always the case!)

Good luck in choosing something really special - keep us posted!!! xx

Almack - dunno if this is much help but there's a tattoo place in nottingham i went to couple of years back,it was beside a cd shop and it had a fairly ornate front and it was upstairs.....thats totally useless like but it seemed cool when i was over - i had got an orgasmatron tattoo and when over seeing motorhead got Lemmy to sign it then the next day went on the hunt for someone to ink it on... that place i just described were very cool. again apologies for the crap directions!

as for tattoos my first was a Gene Simmons photo and i did think about it alot,i got it done on my left thigh so i can cover it if i want (or show it). on the page it was 5inches long and when i took it to the tattooist she said it had to be bigger as there was a lot of detail and suggested 8,11 or 12inchs so i picked the one in the middle  all my tattoos are fairly big but i think if you're goin to get one done then why not have it look the best it can ie.don't limit it with size

you can check out my other tattoos on my myspace: http://www.myspace.com/damagecase666

A good tattoo artist is willing to sit down with you and listen to your ideas about what you want.
Look at their portfolio of work - do they do the style of work you want done? For example somebody maybe shit hot at doing celtic and tribal style stuff free-hand but be awful at realistic portraiture.
Also be prepared for them to insist on a mid-week appointment for custom work - the weekend is their top time for folks who just want a bit of flash off the wall and they may not be ready to give up an hour plus of lucrative weekend time in which they can do lots of small simple pieces to work on your personal design.

Also think about getting a copy or two of Skin Deep magazine and their sister publication Skin Shots. It may help get the creative juices flowing!

I think I annoyed him with my rant about moving the thread. It even prompted a reply from Dan (Morning Dan I hope you got my reply) on my personal email! I do love causing trouble!
