Motorhead or Saxon
Saw motorhead and saxon last saturday night (good to meet up with skinnymartin and adam) i thought saxon were a better band on the night apart from the topless dancers for the end of motorhead set..

Re: Motorhead or Saxon
Great to meet you again matey. See you in Cardiff.
I thought Saxon were really good. I so want to see them do a longer set but I thought Motorhead were spot on. Good set list - God Save The Queen and, of course, semi-naked fire-breathing dancing girls.

sweetpain hello.did you motorhead/saxon on this tour
Re: Motorhead or Saxon
I'm more a Motorhead fan
although i agree, Lemmy looked tired (well in dublin anyways)
we didn't get the opportunity to see saxon as irish supports always seem to get fobbed off
Saxon are great though, Biff's vocals have aged better than Stanleys! and they seem to give it their all!

I hope one of you sang "Over The Top" for me. (Don't tell me they dropped it.) They start some goofball pro-tattoo festival tour with Social Distortion here either next month or in January. Inkless though I be, I'll be there if I can.
The quality goes in before the name goes on.

Re: Motorhead or Saxon
Both are good.
But for me
TANK (of all the bands that supported 'Head back in the Day)
One day will replenish my tattared/knackered vinyls with cds.
Anyone saw them support the 'Head?
I know Ray the Tongue saw them support MetaliicA at the Lyceum in 1984.
Close second would be
Sword (Rock n' Roll tour or was is Orgasmatron tour)

Re: Motorhead or Saxon
I know I mentioned Motorhead's monumental festival headliner - at Port Vale FC in 1981.
Woody remembers his house been shaken by the "racket".
Did anyone from this forum attend the other festival - Heavy Metal Barndance or the The Over The Top Heavy Metal Brain Damage Party at Bingley Hall in the Summer of 1980.

Tank would be an awesome band for Hard Rock Hell.
God bless NWOBHM, and everyone that sailed on her!
