Sorry if I'm wrong here, but didn't England win both of their last quailifying matches 3-0 respectively. I've had a good sport week, what with England winning at footy, cricket and rugby

Yes they did. However I think Scotland' achievement this week out weighs England's.KLFUK wrote:Sorry if I'm wrong here, but didn't England win both of their last quailifying matches 3-0 respectively. I've had a good sport week, what with England winning at footy, cricket and rugby

I didn't watch the footie the other night (not having Sky Sports), but have to agree having spoken to friends who are footie fans that Scotland beating France ws going to be a long shot. I mean France are World Cup finalists and Scotland normally get knocked out of major football competitions by the likes of the Faroe Islands!Pete wrote:Yes they did. One friend in particular was watching the Scotland game and occasionally flipping over to see how England were getting on. So, there she is, just switching back to the Scotland game and sees the ball going into the net and thinks "Surely Craig Gordon (Scotland goalkeeper) was wearing red?" cause she can't for a moment believe that the goal the ball is going into is France's!
Happy days! Now we just have to hope Scotland can do as well in the Rugby World Cup...

Scvotland beating France was a shock, but England actually winning in more than one sport in the same week had me keeled over!
