1. Lionheart - Blind Guardian. Some new stuff for a starter.
2. Line of Fire - Journey.
3. Waitng - Green Day. I loove Green Dy
4. Doesn't Get Better Than This - Peter Criss. Would have fast forwarded past this if it had come on!!
5. Pillars of Eternity - Down. WTF is this ding on my IPod?
6. Firestarter - Gene Simmons/Dave Navaro. See above.
7. Hoodoo Voodoo Medicine Man - Aerosmith. That's better. And from Aerosmiths best ALbum ever. No filler at all, full of amazing toons
8. Sway Lostprophets - see 5 and 6.
9. You are the Saint I am the Sinner - Warrant. Like Warrant a lot
10. Stand Up For Rock n Roll - Airbourne. The most exciting new band in the world. No arguments (don't even try).
11. I want you - Hanoi Rocks. Want to see these live.
12. Strutter - KISS. GLad a KISS toon came up
13. Evacuate - Chelsea. A punk toon from punk compilation I have. It's early 80s punk so it's bound to be good, can't remember it though
14. Droppin' PLates - Disturbed. Agree with Mark - top band.
15. Highway ot Hell (Live) - AC/DC. Top bloody track. Prefer Bon Scott's version, but still good.
16. Raining Blood - Slayer. See 5, 6 and 8. Not a Slayer fan
17. Heart of Glass - BLondie. I love Blondie. Debbie Harry was the reason I had a hankie by my bed when I was 16.
18. Same Ol' Situation - Motley Crue - Love the Crue
19. Brothers of MEtal - Manowar. I'm onto corny metal at the moment, none cornier than these guys. Lov 'em.
20. We Kill in California - Love the Godawfuls. Not very well known US Punk band, but very early 80s. Saw these live as 3rd act with MEST as headliners and Fall Out Boy as support at rock city.

Happy with that collection. Nothing too embarassing. Surprised no SLADE, SLF or Motorhead came up 'cos I have loads on. But I also have nearly 7,000 songs on there!!

I selected Rock and Roll all Nite and used the new Genius feature in iTunes to select similar songs to make a playlist from my own library, this is what I got. Need some tweaking but interesting reading. I did 50 to show a good sample. This feature is supposed to get better over time as more people use it. Looks very 'Old School' metal! (I've 13,000 songs to choose from and don't see much modern stuff in there.)

Sorry about the formatting but I aint typing it all back in, just copied and pasted!

Falling in bed with you again - Clam Abuse - i still can't make my mind up about this album, Ginger being erm creative I suppose

Fatal Energy - Kreator - Means absolutely nothing to me to be honest, shouty though

Anarchy in Timperley - Frank Sidebottom - take a great song and make it 27x better by letting Frank loose on it with a casio keyboard, i can't get enough Frank

Murder in High Heels - Kiss - eeek

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - Hayseed Dixie - i like this gimmick, leave me alone

Perfect Stranger - Deep Purple - get in

Sweet Little Sister - Skid Row - sounds just like every other song on the album, so fantastic

One More - Turisas - the best drinking song released by Finns wearing armour, bar none

Strong Arm of the Law (live) - Saxon - puts a big daft smile on my face

Oh Bondage! Up Yours! - X Ray Spex - forgot I had this, think its from the wifey using it

Genius Penis - Wildhearts - Rich should sing more and they should do this live, at least one, just for me

Isolation - Therapy? - brings you back down to earth eh?

Heart of Gold - Neil Young - and again

New Religion - Black label Society - I don't particularly like this really, skipping happily through it

Let Me Go - Warrior Soul - love Warrior Soul, pity no-one else does really

Blackpool Fool - Frank Sidebottom - 2 Franks in 20 songs? i love shuffle sometimes

Panic in Hanoi - Lee Harvey Oswald Band - anyone else like these? i love that Blastronaut album

Dick - Guano Apes - angst-tastic

I am so jealous others managed to get better Kiss and some WASP, luck of the shuffle i suppose...

Don't have an ipod...I'm a Sony Walkman kinda guy...but the principals the same...so here it goes!!!

Ziggy Stardust - Bauhaus (one of my first Goth experinces)
Come As You Are - Nirvana (no apologies, I like Nirvana)
On Fire - Van Halen (an all time classic track from a classic album)
Cure - Metallica (hmm...sorry!)
Behind These Hazel Eyes - Kelly Clarkson (pop at it's finest...a great voice)
In Vouge - Japan (ah, the Quiet Life album is one of my all time favs...love this song...makes me melt everytime)
Pennywheels - Sponge (should have been huge...a very forgotten album. Shame.)
Ridiculous Thoughts - Cranberries (Don't even recall what this goes like!)
Welcome To The Jungle - GnR (It's all been said!)
Solid Gold Easy Action - T Rex (YEEEEAAAAHHHH!!!!...1970's glam...brill!!!!!)
Wasteland - The Mission ('I still believe in God, but God no longer believes in me'...for those who know and understand)
Civil War - GnR (Could have done without this!)
Gimmie Gimmie Shock Treatment - Ramones (1, 2, 3, 4...if you don't like the Ramones you should be shot! Then shot again...just to be sure!)
I Wanna Get Some - Warrior Soul (Should have been 'The Drug'! Bit dull this one.)
That Womans Gonna Break Your Heart - Thin Lizzy (see Ramones comment, but without the 1234!)
Tommorrow - SIXX AM (Still can't make my mind up about this...it's slowly growing on me)
Can't Get You Outta My Head - Kylie (he he...my guilty secrets out! Yep, I like a bit of Kylie!!)

Rottin Pinata - Sponge (Wow! 2 tracks came up! Plowed from this album is immense, but this is still cool.)

Two mentions of Japan in a week - is this revival? "Quiet Life" (the track) is up there with anything for me, great memories of when they were about. It got the old timers up and dancin' at my fortieth the other week. And "Adolescent Sex" (the song!), and "Visions Of China" and...

Other great memories..."The Damnbusters"...That intro...and Waynie, "There's a crystal view from my window..." 8)

Quiet Life & Gentlemen Take Polaroids are simply classics! Even the more 'mainstream' stuff pisses on anything else that was in the charts at the time. Just interesting, quality stuff. I saw Japan suppot BOC in '78. Being honest I didn't get it at the time (too young is my excuse!) but came to LOVE this band. Sylvians solo stuff is also very very good. Ain't got anywhere near all of it but what I do have is brill.

As for The Mission...just a brilliant band.
ACK!...It's Rock 'n' Roll!!
