Re: Favourite Guitarists. Top 5.
my list is quite a simple on for a rock fan, and some would say quite generic, but here it is
Nuno Bettencourt
Jimi Page
Jimi Hendrix
Eddie Van Halen
Paul Gilbert
It's not in order, because I dont think, even as a guitarist myself, that I am qualified to, and as music is subjective, the list is just a small one of guitarists that inspire me to pick up my guitar in the hope of getting a little bit better, or to maybe write a song.
There are so may guitarist that inspire me on a day to day basis, you should hear whats on my Ipod to wake me in the mornings, Gilmour, Vai, Satch, Scotty Moore, George Harrison, Gary Moore, Dimebag.
To put together my favorite top 5 is ok for now, but later to day, it might be a bit different

It's not 'sposed to be an inspirational list, just the ones that make the goose bumps rise when you hear them.

Different people have very different tastes as (with the exception of Ace who strictly speaking is excluded) I don't have much time and zero goose bumps for any of those mentioned so far. Hendrix is a legend obviously but I rarely listen to him.
1: Slash
2: Mick Mars
3: Joe Perry
4: Chris Holmes
5: Tyla
6: The Beater

Jimi Hendrix
BB King
Gary Moore
Rhandy Roades
Mark Knopfler
Mark McElearney
Possibly some controversial stuff there. I would probably change this every day. Ritchie Blackmore would prob be in there if he wasn't as much of a knob asd he is an ace guitarist.

Re: Favourite Guitarists. Top 5.
I love to listen to the following...in no order...
Eddie VH
Neal Schon
Johnny Ramone
Neil Geraldo...massively underated
Steve Clark (rip)
bubbling under Wayne Hussy, Steve Jones & Prince...when he lets rip on guitar he can put anyone to shame.
