From http://www.myspace.com/speakeasyyork" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hi all,

It's a sad day @ The Speakeasy Bar

As one fellow music lover to another i thought you should be aware that we had SEVERENTH http://www.myspace.com/severenth" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; play here last tuesday (25th Aug) and they were caught on our cctv STEALING £750 worth of guitar equipment.

The item happened to belong to John (the landlord) if you already know John then you will know that he is one of the nicest guys you could wish to meet. Because he is also a guitarist he's been kind enough to loan his gear to bands gigging here to make it easier for traveling bands or in some cases to give the opportunity for some, just to try out different gear.

It has been reported to the police but i thought you should be aware in case any bands come across them on the circuit - WATCH YA GEAR! NEXT TIME IT COULD BE YOUR GEAR THAT GETS NICKED!

These guys just spoil it for everyone, running a live music venue & trying to keep LIVE music ALIVE in this financial climate is difficult enough without thieves.

TELL ALL YA FRIENDS

Cheers everyone

Sarah White

It beggars belief that someone can have the audacity to actually rob the venue they have just played at.....after probably taking a payment for playing there. I hate thieves at the best of times, the fact that they're supposed to be musicians makes it even more disgusting.

Happens quite a lot where I come from on the pub/club circuit.

A lot of these places you take your equipment at risk when your not the only band on the bill..

"The UK Metal scene is overflowing with bands who spend more time in the mirror than they do on their music.

It’s time for change.

Enter Severenth.

Severenth represent the true aesthetic of modern heavy metal, drawing influence from a multitude of sub-genre’s the band have developed an uncompromisingly brutal yet hauntingly melodic sound based around a core of tight rhythms and virtuoso musicianship.

Rising from the obscure North-Wales underground scene in November 2006 the 5-piece unit have quickly built a hardcore following touring extensively around the UK including support slots with the likes of Ill Nino, 3 Inches Of Blood ,Panic Cell, Will Haven, Bring Me The Horizon, Biomechanical, Shaped By Fate, Trigger the Bloodshed, Viatrophy and Forever Never.

Summer 2009 sees the band releasing their debut album ‘The Age Of Paranoia’ through independent alternative label Ant Hill Records.

Recorded during the winter of 2007 at Philia Studios and produced by ISOR’s Nick Hemingway, ‘The Age Of Paranoia’ is a fierce demonstration of how the band have developed their sound and are now ready to take metal to the next level.

Management: Mike Bailey

Maybe they should add ''We steal your gear too'' to their biog...........

Crush, Kill, Destroy.

Yep, but as much of this country today they'll no doubt have some pathetic excuse as to why they did it...after denying it for hours even though they'll be shown the footage.
Where's that Apache Gunship I wanted to hire ???

Really out of order. They look like a bunch of knobs on their Myspace too.

I've a good mind to become their "friend" just to call them thieves.

Just clicked on the myspace link, and the drummer was at Crazyhouse in Liverpool on Sat night (metal club). I was stood just a few yards from him, I thought he looked familiar on the photo. As I happen to think of it, most of the band were with him too, I know this because most of them had dreds which you can see on their pics.

Well if anyone wants to press charges against them you know where you might see them..

W@nkers.
