Strange Day - Strange month (for me)

Today I celebrate 24 years of being wedded to the amazing Angela. It also spells the last day of freedom for a month while I embark on something of an advenure that I have fought to be a part of for eight years. It is a strange feeling knowing you are going to be on a ballot paper in a General Election - really strange, but exciting.

I have some good mates on this board, and I know that having mates outside of the political world makes me more suited to be part of it. I know you ain't all Tories, but please wish me luck. I won't be around too much over the next few weeks - but when we meet up at Wembley -whatever the outcome I will have a good drink and a giggle.

oooh - and vote!!! Don't' care who for - just vote. Spoil your ballot paper, vote Monster Raving Looney - but vote (but not BNP). Obviously - you know how I would prefer you to put your coross - but this ain't a party political broadcast.

Hi Martin

I am really excited knowing someone who is standing as a canditate. Anything you achieve will be brilliant as I know this is ne of labours safest seats, but a great experience and hopefully a platform for you to really put you on the political map. I have had a couple of freinds who have stood before but without success.

I can't wait for this election, not asahmed to say I am right behind David Cameron as labour have absolutely no credibility now and yes I have voted labour once in the past.

The media seem to be really galvanised by this election as it is not predicitbale and The Tories have totally rebranded their tired dull image through Mr & Mrs Cameron..

Personally I hope its a low turn out becasue I think this will ensure a blue landslide, but toally agree everyone should use their vote even if it is just a protest vote.
