Dan is on the Front Cover of Golwg

Just picked up a Welsh magazine called Golwg (sight, according to the dictionary) in the local Tesco.
And there in full colour on the front cover is our very own Dan Bach. There is also a one page piece
near the back. Haven't a clue what it's about will try and get my daughter to translate but she is only 8.

Golwg (Spotlight/Outlook in English) is a weekly arts mag here in Wales.

The publication wanted to interview me about my job - collecting Welsh music (in both English and Welsh langs) and in the hour or so interview over the phone - the editor asked me ..... how did you get into the job - I mentioned the metal/rock scene I submerged myself in 1979 - and KISS being my fave band - and how this helped me to get the job i've held for nearly 15 years.

The article - Tazman if your daughter translates it for you - 1/4 on myself, my fascination with music and 3/4 on my job for the National Library of Wales .....

After very nearly upsetting half of Prestatyn on Twitter a few weeks ago, I need to say that I think the way the Welsh keep their identity in this way is excellent.

Of course I am English first and British second, but having studied development of the English language I also know that Celtic languages were originally native to the whole of the British Mainland. The Welsh have succeeded in protecting their native language in a way that many other countries have failed.

And it couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke!

We weren't propping up the bar mate, we were helping the local economy by buying load of liquor & beer - watching fire-breathing barmaids, getting interviewed by TV channels and SourMash was adding to his collection of photos of ladies breasticles!!!
