Never thought id say this but LIZZY were awesome on Saturday night , this has to be the best line up since Reading 83 ,the place was packed and the atmosphere was the best ive been in at a gig in ages.
£23.50  3 bands that played their hearts out.

The union, who were brilliant.

Ricky Warwick on vocals, just perfect, he hit every note and made the set his own, phil must be looking down and thinking my god he sounds just like me :D
Marco Mendoza - Bass Guitar, his stage presence says it all, hes just raw power looked and sounded the part.
Vivian Campbell - Guitar,at last the man can be himself, i love him in leppard but he seemed more at home playing the guitar twin lead of Lizzy .
Scott Gorham - Guitar,arse. :D
Brian Downey - Drums, the man is back at last.
Darren Wharton - Keyboards, never ages, cracking job on vocals during Still in love with you.

Great set list, 2 enchores, The audience shocked at just how good this line up is.

LIZZY ARE BACK :D

I'm sure it was a great night Kev. It's just not Thin Lizzy for me without out Phil.

However hope you enjoyed it. :D

I've got nothing against them, just wish they'd chosen a different name to play under. One original member aint Lizzy for me either :(

Kev, glad you went.

But i'm sure you would have enjoyed "Vibe for Philo" more.

I stayed away from this tour.

So are your trying to say is that if a band isn't original its not worth going to see :? should KISS have gone under the name KI as they are down to 50% original :D AC/DC should try AC/ ,BLACK SABBATH could try BLACK   Lizzy played with 3 members that played the last ever gig together with phil.

Its 2011 PHILS been gone 1/4 of a century, at least the music is still living on, the memory is still strong,AND BLOODY WELL DONE TO THE CURRENT LINE UP .

ARE YOU OUT THERE :D :D :D

LIZZY ,last ever line up gig together, only 2 original members Zeppelinfeld, Nurnberg, Germany 83.Should they have gone under the name THIN LIZZY.

No because Phil WAS Lizzy. A drummer does not a band make.
I think it's very disrespectful to Phil's memory for this line up to use the Lizzy name.

PHIL needed LIZZY, just as bad as LIZZY needed PHIL. They weren't a one man show, LIZZY were famous just as much for great lead guitar work, think of some of the great guitar players that have played in LIZZY.
When PHIL went on his own and didn't have the LIZZY name it was the steady decline of the great man... :( :(
Anyway back to the APPOLLLO,great night. :D
