SCAM Microsoft Calls from India.

Post by Mr.Spireite »

A word of warning, the scam Windows/Microsoft calls are happening again, several in the last few days. If anyone calls saying you have a virus on your PC, just put the phone down, or as I do, tell them I use Linux. They are trying to get remote access to your PC and scam your credit cards.....

It can be funny though if you challenge them, they get pretty annoyed and abusive.

I love to wind them up, pretend you're typing in the stuff they ask you, they get well stressed when they can't take control of your pc!

I love the bit when they go (in my best Apu accent) "Hello, my name is Simon"....

Got a good idea of a post on Digital Spy, buy yourself a dog whistle, they won't call back in a hurry.

I'm really disappointed I haven't had one of these calls, I've got plenty of time to have a chat with them.

Best tip is to say "hang on, I'll just turn my pc on" then put the phone down and leave it where it is checking back periodically to see if the stupid Apu's are still there.
That, or just keep saying " sorry, I can't speak bollocks. Could you talk slowly or spell every work your'e trying to say. Thank you very much, please come again"

I remember watching the very programme the inventor of the 'True Call' machine was selling his product to the dragons. Great idea, a little pricey for me so I'll just stick to my usual reply to scam calls, which I bet you know already.

I simply interrupt them regularly by asked if they've "heard the good news about our Lord Jebus" and they soon fook off...
