Can't hear it at work but can imagine what it is. A cassette in the machine and fingers hovering over the play and record buttons...

Seconded ... listening intently to live stuff ... KISS at Ipswich Gaumont 1984 or Donington 1988; Iron Maiden at Reading Rock 1982 ... listening to exclusive session tracks.Frehley75 wrote:Can't hear it at work but can imagine what it is. Re: Listening to this... fond memories of the Friday Rock Show!
I grew up in Germany listening to British Forces radio - BFBS. We had a show that was broadcast on a Tuesday night called the HM SHow - hosted by a guy called Tony Jasper who was, apparently, also a Christian radio presenter in Sheffield.
He did a great show - the intro was the intro to Rocket Ride. I won a signed Slade phot from his show from the We''ll bring the House down era. We also used to try and get weird references to our teachers on the requests for tracks. So - Scotty the Dog would be a common addition - that was our history teacher and Spiderman was Mr Andrews the maths teacher.
Happy days. Ok - selfish nostalgic post over.

Thirded!!.. I would be doing the exact same thing, but usually the part I would want to record came on late in the show that I would have fell asleep by the time it was on!Dan bach wrote:Seconded ... listening intently to live stuff ...
