I went to see Alice a few years, back probably more than I care to remember on the "monsters of rock" tour he did with Thunder, Quireboys and The Dogs D'Amour and I must admit I was a bit dissapointed at the time but then he was flogging one of his albums, Dragontown which is pretty poor tbh.
Highlight for me though was Eric Singer and his drum solo.

Alice never disappoints. Seen 3 Alice shows since 2006 and they were all blinding!

Saw him in Brum and it was amazing That being said, I don't like his new drummer too much. He over-plays everything. I was also stood next to Dave from the Hairy Bikers at that gig

Is it a sign of certain middle age that I'm far more impressed with being stood next to one of the Hairy Bikers than a gig write up?hywelkidd wrote:Saw him in Brum and it was amazing That being said, I don't like his new drummer too much. Re: The Amazing Alice Cooper last night...
Have seen Cooper a number of times over recent years. Last year's gig at Hellfest was the worst I've seen.
If it has gone up a notch since then I'm happy.

Re: The Amazing Alice Cooper last night...
This latest tour is the first one I've missed seeing him on since 1986. He's never disappointed unlike the likes of Maiden. Watched the show on Sky Arts last night and thought it was a great set song wise but it just seemed a little disjointed on the theatrics side of things - the 'story' wasn't there as much as it has been previously. Still very good though. Bring on the full Welcome 2 my Nightmare show next year !!!!

Saw him at Sheffield city hall last Tuesday, sounded great and Alice was on top form!
Very energetic for a man of his age
Agree that the story line of the show didn't flow as well as it might but still a great show

Re: The Amazing Alice Cooper last night...
what storyline?..apart fromn the guillotine it may as well have been the 'bare bones' tour again..
feel free to feel offended, cyber-bullied, put out, outside of the clique, side-lined, marginalised or just generally have the piss taken out of. However it's a JOKE!-Nick's Mirth World!
