Message from friend of Mark St John |

From: KISSin' UK

Last week I got this message from Gina, a very close friend of Mark St John, she has kindly given me permission to publish it here. I was choked to read some of her words! --- Hi Paul, my name is Gina and I just felt a need to write. I was the last person to see Mark alive. On August 29th of last year Mark and I reunited after 35 years and I had been with him everyday since he passed. I had known him since the 3rd through 8th grade. He was my first love and will be my last love. I had less than a year with him and still mourn for him everyday. His brother Michael called me last week to say he was going to Japan for a Kiss reunion and he also has some footage of Mark for me. I had never seen him perform on stage. He always played for me and the last song he played and sang for me,I believe is a lennon song called "Working Class Hero's" and Mark played and sang it beautifully.I believe Green Day did a remake of it.
Mark St. John was computer illiterate, like myself but I was able to go online to show him articles about him and he specified that he enjoyed the interview he did with you Paul. He spoke highly of you, thought you might want to know that. He also got a kick out of someone who taped him playing with The Torpedo Girls? They posted it on you tube and he couldn't believe it.He was the most kindest and giving man in the world. My son Robby is 17yrs. old and plays professional paintball for the team San Diego Aftermath, who have won the world cup in Florida the last two years. When I told my son that I was seeing Mark, I asked him if he wanted an autograph picture of him and he said"a picture,Mom if you are seeing Mark St. John,I want an autographed electric guitar". Last Christmas Robby received an electric guitar made and signed by Mark St. John.I will share more with you soon. Sleep with the Angels Skippy, but don't get fresh!! Bye for now...Gina |

Hollywood, August 2007 - KISS Tribute Song Debuts in Top 40 on Online RockRadio! Friends With Painted Faces, the KISS Tribute song inspired by the KISS Army and written/recorded by A&E's Ultimate KISS Fan Bob Brunson made its debut this month on Songvault.FM Online Radio's Rock Charts at # 36. Following his appearance on A&E’s popular reality show Gene Simmons Family Jewels, Brunson invited KISS fans everywhere to write in and tell him why they loved the band. He used this input and his own to write and record the first-ever official tribute song for a band, inspired by its fans and recorded by the Ultimate Fan. Additionally, Bob has teamed with the charity AboutFaceUSA to donate a portion of proceeds from song download. KISS fans might recall Paul Stanley worked with this group a few years back as well. Paul comments on missing show |

Sunday, 29 July 2007 |
From Paul's official site:- During sound check yesterday, my heart spontaneously jumped to 190 plus beats per minute where it stayed for over an hour necessitating paramedics to start an IV and give me a shot to momentarily stop my heart and get it into a normal pattern. Not knowing if this episode was life threatening made it even more exhausting. After consulting with both the paramedics and a cardiologist at Cedar Sinai, they confirmed my worst fear. They said that I would put myself at risk if I tried to do the show.
I’m very proud of Gene, Tommy and Eric for carrying on without me. I apologize to anyone I disappointed and I’ll make it up to you when I see you again.
Paul. |

Just a rumour so far, but from DigitalSpy and The Star:- Gene Simmons has signed up for the next series of I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!, according to a report today. The Daily Star claims that producers expect the Kiss singer to spice up the jungle with his outrageous opinions and bad boy antics. Simmons is no stranger to reality TV; he has previously starred in Channel 4's Rock School, which saw him turning a class of youngsters into a rock group. It is rumoured that Gene will be joined in Australia by former supermodel Janice Dickinson and TV psychic Sally Morgan, when the show returns later this year. |
