Bruce back down-under!
[From: Nicola Ciccarone]

Bruce Kulick, Kiss’ lead guitarist for 12 years is making his way back to Australia for a nationwide tour in support of his soon to be released solo album, Transformer.

In February, 2002 Bruce performed his first ever solo concerts in Melbourne and Sydney to sell out audiences. Kiss’ diehard fans got a unique chance to get up close with one of their idols as Bruce and his band whipped through a 2 hour show of classic and rare Kiss songs from the era Kulick was in the band – 1984 to 1996 performing many songs Kiss to this day have never performed live.

Due to the great success of the last tour Bruce is returning in May to perform 4 concerts in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney.
Tickets go on sale on April 7 from the outlets below.

Before the shows, KISS VIDEOS will be shown on big screen
And tons of KISS MERCHANDISE will be available only before the shows

After each show, Bruce will conduct a signing session for all fans will get a chance to meet and greet the guitar player that helped Kiss write and sell over 15 million albums and perform hundreds of sell out shows all over the world during their "unmasked" era.

Kulick has also recorded and toured with such luminaries as Meat Loaf, Michael Bolton, Billy Squire and Grand Funk Railroad and is a renown session player in Los Angeles. He is endorsed by both ESP Guitars and Marshall Amplifiers. Bruce is a true guitar hero and Kiss fan or not, fans will be blown away with his fretwork.

Bruce’s band on this coming tour will again be all-Australian and the same line up of Vince Contarino (Zep Boys), Paul Drennan (Stand), Stephen Crafter (Stand) and Matthew MacAuliffe (Stand) will join him onstage for 2 hours of madness.

With the set revamped and featuring a couple of new tunes off Transformer and some dusted off forgotten Kiss tunes, it will be one helluva crazy crazy night!

KISS mention on Rise
[From: Tony]
On this mornings edition of rise they had two women with painted on football shirts (spray painted onto their body by two artists) at the end of the interview with the artists the male presenter (no idea of his name) - (probably Iain Lee. the guy from the 11 O'clock show who I believe mentioned KISS on that too - PF) asked if they did face painting as he would like to be made up like Gene Simmons of KISS!!!!
I might even start watching the programme now rather than just channel surfing threw it! Regards Tony

14th April 2003 RIP Sean Delaney
[From: GeneSimmons.com]
Sad to report that SEAN DELANEY, our first road manager, co-writer and much more...has passed away. BILL AUCOIN, the band's first manager, called to tell me the sad news. Our condolences to the Delaney family. Sean and I spoke only a few weeks ago. He told me he had just started working with a new English Country and Western band. Aucoin also told me about that venture. Sean seemed happy to be working on something he cared about again. He also asked if he could introduce us when we played in his home town, and I, of course said yes. We both made plans to see each other when we arrived in his city.

Sadly, he will not be able to introduce us.

But, in more ways than one, Sean was one of the pivotal people in all our lives. He believed, when the world did not. He was there for us in the beginning and helped shape the direction of the band.

He will be missed.
13th April 2003 Work for Dressed To Kill!
[From: Ash, DTK]
DRESSED TO KILL are putting out an invitation to all comers to apply to be our Assistant/pyrotechnician for the next 2 shows- Walthamstow Standard, and
Colchester Soundhouse on the 25th and 26th this month respectively.

We thought it would be a mad, but very fun idea to invite one of YOU to come and work with Us for the weekend, so that U can see how We work, and what goes into a DRESSED TO KILL show.

If it works out, We'll do it again.

Experience ISNT essential, but knowing KISS songs is pretty important- where the bangs go off, how the songs begin and end, etc etc.

You'll get paid for your time, your travel, and Your accommodation is sorted.

So, any interested parties, that (for THIS time round) live in the midlands, the south south, or the south east, email Me directly, with Your details ASAP please.

Please send any enquiries to: Starchildpaul@aol.com

KISS My Grass
[From: Ian Danter]
Just received a CD through Amazon.co.uk entitled "Kiss My Grass", a hillbilly tribute to Kiss performed by US country boys Hayseed Dixie, who've already recorded similar tributes to AC/DC and Hank Williams.

10 tracks from right through Kiss' career, all done in a "Dukes of Hazzard"-style bluegrass country flavour - no drums, just an acoustic, acoustic bass, mandolin and banjo. Just imagine that version of RARAN by Toad The Wet Sprocket on acid if you still need an idea...
Songs featured include: Calling Dr. Love, Lick It Up, Heaven's On Fire (all done at hilarious chicken-pickin' speed!) Cold Gin, Detroit Rock City, Love Gun (all these 3 are more laid back) plus a version of Let's Put The X in Sex that, quite frankly, puts the original (hot) in the shade!
Easy enough to get on Amazon's uk website - those with a sense of humour bypass should avoid, however!!
