Tony] On this mornings edition of rise they had two women with painted on football shirts (spray painted onto their body by two artists) at the end of the interview with the artists the male presenter (no idea of his name) - (probably Iain Lee. the guy from the 11 O'clock show who I believe mentioned KISS on that too - PF) asked if they did face painting as he would like to be made up like Gene Simmons of KISS!!!! I might even start watching the programme now rather than just channel surfing threw it! Regards Tony |

GeneSimmons.com] Sad to report that SEAN DELANEY, our first road manager, co-writer and much more...has passed away. BILL AUCOIN, the band's first manager, called to tell me the sad news. Our condolences to the Delaney family. Sean and I spoke only a few weeks ago. He told me he had just started working with a new English Country and Western band. Aucoin also told me about that venture. Sean seemed happy to be working on something he cared about again. He also asked if he could introduce us when we played in his home town, and I, of course said yes. We both made plans to see each other when we arrived in his city. Sadly, he will not be able to introduce us. But, in more ways than one, Sean was one of the pivotal people in all our lives. He believed, when the world did not. He was there for us in the beginning and helped shape the direction of the band. He will be missed. |

Ian Danter] Just received a CD through Amazon.co.uk entitled "Kiss My Grass", a hillbilly tribute to Kiss performed by US country boys Hayseed Dixie, who've already recorded similar tributes to AC/DC and Hank Williams. 10 tracks from right through Kiss' career, all done in a "Dukes of Hazzard"-style bluegrass country flavour - no drums, just an acoustic, acoustic bass, mandolin and banjo. Just imagine that version of RARAN by Toad The Wet Sprocket on acid if you still need an idea... Songs featured include: Calling Dr. Love, Lick It Up, Heaven's On Fire (all done at hilarious chicken-pickin' speed!) Cold Gin, Detroit Rock City, Love Gun (all these 3 are more laid back) plus a version of Let's Put The X in Sex that, quite frankly, puts the original (hot) in the shade! Easy enough to get on Amazon's uk website - those with a sense of humour bypass should avoid, however!! Click here to buy from Amazon UK |
