Re: Bloodstock 2010

Spooky, http://www.festi4.co.uk are running a minibus services from all over the country. If you are going the public transport route then get yourself to Birmingham New Street station, from here a 20 minute train journey to Lichfield City and there is a Bloodstock shuttlebus running from midday on ...

Re: Bloodstock 2010

Yeah, we are getting pretty spoilt for choice these days with all the festivals and the amount of bands that now include the UK in their touring schedules (with some even daring to venture outside of London as well!) but I think we have a good formula with Bloodstock - we aren't competing for the li...

Re: now the uk tour is finished where was best

best night = Birmingham probably just edged it for me but Glasgow and Manchester (and Sheffield, Liverpool, Newcastle, London) were just as good! best song = I loved the encores every night - every crowd really seemd to step it up once Lick it Up kicked in but GGRARTY put a tear in my eye every sing...

Re: Bloodstock 2010

Was thinking about starting a Bloodstock thread on this forum so used the search and found this one, even if it hasn't seen any traffic for a couple of months! Good to see a few of you considering coming along - for what it's worth I am on the Bloodstock team and have been since waaaay back in 2001 ...

Re: Wembley Show Reports Thread (Wed 12th)

As much as I loved seeing Kiss every time, they really should have stuck to the original shows and sold them all out (would have saved me a few quid anyway  ) People make the mistake of thinking it was KISS' idea.... It's the Promoter who decides what venues, how many times & when. In this...

Re: Wembley Show Reports Thread (Wed 12th)

I was down by the mixing desk as well and I too felt a lack of atmosphere but that aside another great performance from the band and just reiterates the point I made earlier in the tour that the key difference between the shows is actually the audience - the band have been great every night but the ...

Re: Taking Dawn

I never mentioned anything about set length! One of my other all time favourite bands is Dream Theater and they regularly do "An Evening with...." shows which is basically two sets with an interval of 20-30 minutes so you are talking up to three hours of performance across two sets! With K...

Re: Manchester Show Reports Thread

Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and London were always going to be the daddies on this tour as they were the first shows announced and got the big sales and this was once again proved tonight! Great turnout at the MEN - not quite sold out, there was still some availability right at the back up in th...

Re: Glasgow Show Reports Thread

Great crowd tonight in Glasgow - place was packed and in fine voice! The band obviously enjoyed and played off the vibe in the SECC tonight, the Scottish Kiss Army did themselves proud! As mentioned above some new visuals were brought into play during song introductions and some sound effects on the...

Re: Taking Dawn

Been to four shows so far and not seen them once! I'm there for Kiss, nothing more (ok maybe some sneaky peeks at some of the lovely laydees that have been coming!) so I don't arrive much before 20:15, get in and onto the floor by the time Immigrant Song starts and that's me set for the night! As aw...
