Re: Judas Priest Roll Call?

The following was something I posted after High Voltage last summer. It'll be interesting to see what they play on Saturday. Looking forward to catching up with the KIUK'ers! Great set by JP at High Voltage 3 weeks ago. If it was their farewell gig then they went out on a high. Halford is still in v...

Re: Judas Priest Roll Call?

49. I could have got a ticket for 45 quid but the arrangements were a bit complicated. This place is fine for a pre-meet. Bottom of QC st & bear right:

Mark I've just bought a stalls standing ticket. There are some nice pubs on the river a short walk from Queen Caroline St.

It goes on till 3 Mark. Have a look at the original post. Easiest to exit Euston in Eversholt Street if coming by tube. A hundred yds or so up the road.

Re: The PRICE OF PETROL Again.......

I saw an interesting blog page the other day. While it sounds a bit conspiracy-theory like you never know. "This government continues to astound. Today, they have managed the impossible: to cause petrol shortages without any actual strike. The height of incompetence some might argue - with some...

Obama 3 years on - & the age of ignorance

I read the following article earlier today and it reminded me of a discussion on this board about 3 and a half years ago: http://www.nybooks.com/blogs/nyrblog/2012/mar/20/age-of-ignorance/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; At the time Marie declared the following about Obama's...

Re: Van Halen playing with heads...............!

I was at that show at the Rainbow in Finsbury Park. Sadly, the venue closed way back in 1981 and it's is now a pentecostal church. A friend and I had just finished our final 'O' levels so the VH gig was a great release. It still lives long in the memory as one of the greatest gigs I've ever been to....

Anyone going to Cheap Trick?

I know a couple of KIUK'ers mentioned they'd be going to see them on tour in November. Anyone bought tix yet? A couple of us are going to the Shepherd's Bush Empire gig on the 12th of November. Tix £20.

Re: Votematch

None of the parties deserving of my vote. Brown has shown his contempt for ordinary people; Clegg only appears popular because he scrubs up well and because the others are so awful; and Cameron is still trying to hide the fact he feels it's his entitlement to be PM. None of the candidates is prepare...

Re: SCORPIONS one last time

Amazed that no one's yet to recommend 'Tokyo Tapes.' One of my fave live albums during my misspent youth. Went to see them again at Hammy Odeon on their penultimate tour and got talking to people on the tube afterwards who had no idea who Uli Roth was. There was a real audience divide that year betw...
