What works so well for 'Empire...' - the characters have developed more (and the actors who play them fill the role better) - the whole underlying tone of darkness/mood throughout.. I mean, in this one, things are going wrong for the good guys - a master stroke!.. Luke learns about Vader/loses hand ...
