Such a shame the painter wasn't delayed by a couple of months :D

The New Roses would have been a great choice for opening slot on this tour. Not sure how I feel about the painter. If KISS were a bit more savvy they could have had a local band in each city open for them. Maybe the logistical side of the show (set up, lighting Tec) means there is no way any other band can use the stage.

I believe this is indeed the reason for the painter.

Hello all - it's been a while :)
No idea if the support is still the painter David Garibaldi, but if it is, he's incredibly talented, and well worth a watch. I saw a couple of shows over there in March, and have to admit lifting my eyebrows up when I heard that there was a painter as support act. He was on for around 25 minutes, and I was thoroughly entertained - he painted Stephen Tyler, Mick Jagger, John Lennon and another one that slips my mind, and he does it to their music.
Sadly won't be at any of the UK shows - I missed the boat on tickets and only ended up with crappy ones in Birmingham & London, so I'm off on some travels instead to see Night Ranger a couple of times. I'll be going over to the US again before KISS call it quits to say goodbye.
When did Motley Crue become Classic Rock?

Gotta say - couldn't believe my eyes - a PAINTER ???? Don't care how 'good' he is - a PAINTER ?? A band the size and rep of Kiss should surely have had a decent 'name' act ? - apparently not. I'm thinking the fact that the paintings are signed and auctioned for charity ensures he doesn't get bottled off ?

So Prague gets ZZ Top and Birmingham gets Tony Hart (I actually used to love Tony Hart! :D )

I though the painter was good. Something different than a shit warm up band that nobody really cares about. O2 was full last night so support acts haven’t influenced ticket sales.
