"I went to my friend's house one day, and he had an electric guitar he had just bought with a tiny little amp. I turned the volume up to 10 and I hit one chord, and I said, I'm in love."

Scottish_Connection wrote:OK, I've been saying for ages I can't make these shows cause of my sister being inconsiderate enough to be celebrating her 30th birthday that weekend and not wanting to come down to DTK with me to celebrate for some reason

However things started looking up last week when she told me that she and her bf wouldn't be needing to use my spare room that weekend as they are splashing out on an Edinburgh hotel to make it a real weekend treat for themselves. Then Love Gun kindly applied some pressure of the "it's my birthday celebration weekend and I won't have anyone to dance with on the Friday night" variety when I saw her at the weekend which left me considering travelling down for the Crewe show and then heading home to go out on the town with my sister on the Saturday.

So after a quick check that I can have the day off work, that train tickets aren't too horribly expensive and that I could find somewhere to stay the result is.......

............I'M COMING TO CREWE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, it's roll call time. Who (apart from the band obviously and Love Gun) are coming to the Crewe show????

p.s. Mark/Dan have booked into the Waverley on my sister's recommendation this time around as I couldn't face another night at the Royal with the pounding dance music. It is just round the back and along a bit from the Royal's carpark, on the other side of that road.

I think I will be doing stourbrige.
I want to say
I will be comming in stourbridge! :D

So let me see...live Kiss music, a birthday to celebrate, not coming home stinking of stale smoke, meeting up with great friends and new friends???

What a night this will be! I best sort my ticket(s?) out!!

it was Stourbridge earlier in the year when I bumped into Dan and joined the board.

Well I have good excuse for not making it this stime as my Decree Absolute came through last week after a protracted battle over my pension. This means I can now get married on 8th September to Lost Angel. There will be plenty of Kiss tunes at the reception and loads of proper 70's glam so will be with you all in spirit even though we will be 130 miles away. We were so looking forward to meeting up with you all and hope its not too long before we get another chance. :D

Only 3 weeks to go! :D

I "reserved" a ticket for Rock Cafe last time but they didn't even have a sheet of paper to check my name off against when I arrived to pay so not sure what the point of reserving it was.

However I'm not going to Stourbridge this time round (am assuming that is where you are talking about) so can i make a really radical suggestion of someone phoning to find out what is going on
