Erm dodgy i would say....

If they come to the UK they'll play a festival. Why finance a tour in a weak market when you're offered a £1,000.000 to play Download.
KISS have never done good business in the UK, even on the PC tour they could barely sell out 1 night in a 12,000 arena.
My first gig was at Wembley in 1984 with Bon Jovi (I didn't go with Bon Jovi, they were supporting...) and the place was half empty. In 1992 at NEC they was (apparently) only about 2,800 people in an 11,000 arena.
I'd like to see them play smaller theatre shows.

I meant £1,000,000.00 not £1,000.00.
If you could get KISS to play fro a grand I'd get a loan and have them play on my patio!

And still be hard pushed to get the audience to fill it.

And this why Doc will arrange it for them to play Hard Rock Calling at Hyde Park... with Bon Jovi. Believe. If they come to the UK they'll play a festival. Why finance a tour in a weak market when you're offered a £1,000.000 to play Download.

Re: KISS summer US/Europe tour...looking likely?
I agree, I've seen 'em too many times in half filled arenas in the UK (Wembley, MEN, NEC). I doubt they've ever made money in the UK except for Download and Donington '96 which were both fee based performances.I hope that they have the balls to realise they'll not sell out the MEN'S, 02's and LG's of the UK and do a theatre tour. They can still have pyro and firebreathing if they want...however they would be playing to full houses and not half empty arenas....if this is true of course...Never posted in this bit before, that I can recall, so thought I'd start a rumour!
Last weekend I listened to 2interviews on US radio. On both he mentioned a summer US/European tour and that the last Euro tour was such a success they wanted to come back over here.
Now, if he'd said this on a UK/Euro radio station I'd be goin "Yeah, right! Whateva!" but to say it on US radio makes me think there just might...that's 'might!' be something to this.
Personally, I have a feelin it'll happen. Don't think it'll be the number of shows on the last tour, more selective with the dates probably.
I just hope the UK gets more than one show. Then again, it's cheaper to fly to some cities in Europe than it is to get the train to a city in the UK...so screw the UK! I'm off to Europe again!!!...
Here's hoping
I fully expect them just to do a festival here.

I reckon Sonisphere could be on the cards, given that they can then travel round Europe doing the respective festivals. It'd be fee based and allow them to play to the largest number of fans with a lot less effort than putting together their own tour. Also, Sonisphere is going to need a big name act and Kiss would fit the bill very nicely after their legendary Download performance in 08.I fully expect them just to do a festival here.
