Very, very sad.

A true Gent and a musical legend. His sound was unique and so atmospheric...'A200', 'This Time Around' & of course 'Child In Time' being perfect examples.

Glad to have seen you live and had the pleasure to hear your genius.

Just found out about this half hour ago. :(
Im saddened by this news as I have always loved Jon's amazing Keyboard playing with both Deep Purple and Whitesnake.

Its sad news, he is the pioneer of that heavy riffy sound of Keyboards in metal. Was listening to Purple all evening and watching old clips on youtube. Another great loss from the rock world.

Gutted about this. Only found out yesterday. Watched his graduation to Doc of music last year. Shortly after it was announced he had cancer.
