Status quo Zurich

Post by matty_kissarmy »

Hi guys, I was looking at the status quo tour dates and seen that they are playing Zurich next year, so I was thinking about going and possibly staying there for a few days, is there much to do in Zurich?, if I remember correctly someone from the forum went to the kiss gig in Zurich, not sure if it's the same venue!

Matt it was me, I had a great time, really nice people, the old part of the city is also a good place to visit. just take a lot of money
This is only my opinion… it is neither right nor wrong (but my lovely wife tells me I'm always wrong)!

Is there enough to do there to spend about 5-7 days there?, any recommendations on hotels to stay in?

Mark I agree, I stopped at an Ibis hotel just a few minutes away from the Ice arena and it cost me about £80 for a night, a meal was about £30 and a beer was about £6.
If you travel around the country outside Zurich it maybe a little better??

looking at the price it just does not seem worth it, I am 100% sure they will do plenty of dates in this country next year, just thought it would have been good to fly to a country I have not been to before to see them, thanks for the advice anyway guys!

Having looked at the Tour dates...the one that I'd plump for would be Croatia , budget flights there.. and a beautiful country to boot... Have a look at the gig prices on line and work it out from there...I love the country and in August it will be close to 30 degrees.. (And waaaayy cheaper than Switzylond.....)
Just a thought....

OK. They tour the UK at Christmas quite extensively so if you want to see them slightly cheaper...otherwise enjoy Quo & Zurich.

Whichever line up they always put on a great show & rock.
