Just got back - excellent gig. Band were on stage for nearly two hours and on fine form. I enjoyed the set-list but I would have liked at least one more song from Sonic Boom...a minor gripe, though. The arena looked roughly two-thirds full from my vantage point.....upper rear section was completely closed off and covered with curtains and there was plenty of room in the standing section, but still not a bad turn out.

I guess the ppl that don't want to know just don't read this thread... After all the title 'Sheffield Just Finished' should indicate that ppl in this thread actually wanna talk about what they've heard and I for one wanna know! Although It'll have to wait cos I'm crashing out now. Next: Driving to Newcastle Rock City :)

We were upper tier, Tommy's side and the audience around me were really flat.
It actually took a while for the whole place to warm up, but eventually they really did come alive.
Say Yeah seemed the best received of the new songs. But I'm An Animal was a real highlight.
I thought song of the night was GGRARTY. It was an absolute triumph. The whole arena singing and swaying. Even brought a tear to my girlfriends eye (her favourite song).

All in all the band fought hard and in the end won over an initially hesitant crowd. Based on this, its going to be a great tour.

Can't wait for my next show - Manchetster.
I said to her ' Honey that ain't no pistol thats my...'
I SAID TO HER ' HONEY THAT AIN'T NO PISTOL THATS MY ... LOVE GUN'.
