Stage Antics

Postby Ramjam07 » Thu May 06, 2010 9:47 pm

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but 2 things struck me from the first 2 nights of the tour?

1 Did you see the amount of times that Gene "gobbed" on the stage. He seemed to have an almighty flem build up that he had to off load every 10/15 minutes. Seemed like he was imitating a camel. One thing the missus did notice, 2nd Kiss Gig ever in 17 years, was that Gene was not as spritely as he once was, and he was completely pedestrain compared to Paul, but why the requirement to off load at regular intervals? He didn't seem to be exerting himself too much?

2 Linked to the first point, with the mikes for Gene and Paul now being stage right and stage centre, there seems to be a more defined stage position than has been seen in the past. i.e. no left and right for the boys, but Paul firmly stage centre. What I did notice at Sheffield, was when Paul came stage right and had to use Gene's mike to talk to us, he removed the mike's cozy and inserted a fresh one that was hidden behind Gene's towel drapped over the stand. Does he know soemthing about Gene's health that we don't??

Is this for real,or a wind up?

' Gene was not as spritely as he once was'!!!!!! He's near 60 ffs,and never exactly bombed about the stage like Paul did!!!!!

And Paul is usually centre stage, isnt he????

UNBELIEVABLE!

He is 60.

For some reason neither Gene or Paul are as active on this tour as they were when I first saw them in 1984.

Historically, Paul has always been on stage left and Gene Right but what with the addition of the 3rd mic over the last few years he's moved over a bit.

Exciting stuff 'eh!

The 'mic covers' change over is to stop the spread of germs. When you're on tour for months, any sign of a cold could cause havoc....
