And the comment is ...
PASS!!!!!

Why drop the openers just to get that billing with exactly the same length set anyway??Been to four shows so far and not seen them once! I'm there for Kiss, nothing more (ok maybe some sneaky peeks at some of the lovely laydees that have been coming!) so I don't arrive much before 20:15, get in and onto the floor by the time Immigrant Song starts and that's me set for the night!
As awesome as being the opening band for Kiss must be, it's a bit redundant. Drop the openers and bill it as "An Evening with Kiss" next time.....
Taking Dawn were still awful last night... (he say's trying to get the thread back on track...)I never mentioned anything about set length! One of my other all time favourite bands is Dream Theater and they regularly do "An Evening with...." shows which is basically two sets with an interval of 20-30 minutes so you are talking up to three hours of performance across two sets! With Kiss doing the best part of two hours already it wouldn't take that much to extend it out and the whole thing could become more 'informal' and then maybe they could play around a bit more with the setlist to include some of those other 'classics' they don't currently play......
They certainly have enough material, banter and crowd command skills to make it work so why not?
Dream Theater are my 2nd favourite band! Saw them do an evening with on the 8V tour and I jizzed my pants. Always catch DT when they come into the UK, good work, MaverickI never mentioned anything about set length!
